Hello, I am currently a nanny for two young boys that I adore. I am pleased to say that over the course of time I have spent watching these children that I have gained valuable experience and skill sets that have made me a great nanny. Being a nanny takes an incredible amount of patience, a willingness to foster and encourage child development, and a natural sense of care for kids. One of the things I love most about my job is that I allow myself to be silly with the kids. This can range from pretending to be their favorite superhero, to bringing their stuffed toys to life. It is very important to accommodate to the individual child's needs and wants if it means encouraging healthy development. I have also maintained a great relationship with the parents. Strong communication skills are necessary for nannies to relay pertinent information so that parents are updated on any changes to a child's behavior.

I have been working in childcare for almost 5 years, mainly in a daycare setting. However, I have babysat many times during those 5 years. Due to experience in a center, I am equipped to care for many children and includinh during fun outing. I've also gone through many, many childcare focused trainings focused on development and safety.

I have volunteered at Wonderlab Summer Camp for about 3-4 weeks, working with kids ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. I have also been a LOTS Senior at Bradford Woods, which mean I took care of a huge class of 5th grades for 3 days, 2 nights in cabins. With my experience, I have engaged with kids in conversation, activities, learning, and whatever they needed help with. I usually would look out for the kids safety, but also made sure they were entertained and felt comfortable and safe. Beyond my experience with kids, I consistently clean my own house with my family, so I would say I have fairly good experience cleaning. I am genuinely passionate about working alongside with kids. I love listening to their stories, engaging in activities with them, and helping in any way I can!

I have a semester of experience working with children in a school setting where I played educational games with groups of 1st and 2nd graders to help them learn and have fun while doing it. I am going to IU for elementary education so I really enjoy being around kids and helping them out with whatever they need! I also have a summer of experience where I babysat a 4-year-old every so often and sometimes was asked to also babysit their other child who was 2 years old. I am positive and very dependable. I can also clean up after the children or help prepare some meals for them!
