Ні, Former substitute teacher in the PHM District and South Bend Community Schools. Former middle school science teacher and two year full-time caregiver. I'm looking for ways to supplement my income. Occasional sitting has worked well for me and allows the flexibility I need in order to help with my out-of-town grandchildren and support my four adult children. I've passed multiple background checks as well as CPS history checks in order to work in the schools. CPR and standard first aid certified. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss caring for your loved ones to see if we’re a good fit. Please reach out to me if you are interested or have any additional questions. Fully Vaccinated including RSV and Covid, including boosters. Extremely reliable, conscientious, and punctual. Regards, Martha

Martha is FABULOUS. She watched our two children when they were under 1 and 2.5-3. I would hire her again in a heartbeat. She took excellent care of the children and I could trust her completely. Our oldest still speaks of her fondly. She never turned on the TV and always engaged with the children. Reliable and responsible.

Hi there! My name is Mary, and I am a 31 year old St. Louis native and current South Bend resident seeking to establish a few steady relationships with local families for occasional, as-needed babysitting opportunities. I adore taking care of and interacting with kids, so for me, babysitting is as much a job as it is an incredibly personally enriching opportunity. A little about me: I have a BA degree in English and Russian Studies from Saint Louis University, and I currently run my own freelance writing business, am working on getting into grad school at Notre Dame to pursue an MFA, and am writing a novel! Language, learning, books, writing, and people are some of my primary loves, so, in these babysitting opportunities, I am seeking to expand both my work and personal experience by applying my "loves" in a practical manner--for example, by reading to your children, or by helping them with some of their language arts homework. Some of my long-term goals involve exploring English/ESL tutoring, pursuing various language certifications (such as the TESOL/TEFL), and doing creative writing professionally, so I believe these babysitting prospects have the great potential to be a mutually beneficial connection for the both of us. That being said, I'm not just about school and homework! I love playing games with kids and seeing how their imaginations expand just by having fun. I believe in engaging kids' creativity in a variety of ways (especially beyond the gadgets world!)--for example, with story games, board games, outdoor games, coloring, and, frankly, anything we can dream up on the fly! I'm as comfortable playing princesses as I am super heroes, and I'm at ease around kids of all ages (I'm the oldest of six kids, so to say I'm used to working with different creative styles is at best an understatement. :)). I have experience taking care of everyone from infants to teenagers, so I'm just as composed changing a diaper as I am bonding with a 7th grader about the pressures of middle school. That diversity of encounter is a huge part of why I love working with kids. Lastly, I've been babysitting in varying degrees since I was 12 years old, and my greatest joy is getting to know the families I've worked for. Happy to provide references if needed! God bless, and I look forward to working with you and your family! Please note: for rates, I am completely willing to work within your budget and individual circumstances, as long as I am compensated fairly.

Loved Mary! We were looking for a babysitter for an evening out, as out-of-towners coming into St. Louis for a weekend. This was our first time ever leaving our infant with a non-family member, so I was more than a little apprehensive about the experience! Mary really stood out from the other applicants in part because she took the time to write a personal message to me (not just C&P her profile), responding to the specifics of my ad. Besides several messages back-and-forth, we also had a lovely phone conversation ahead of our arrival in town, so that I could feel more at ease. She also sent me regular texts (as offered/requested) throughout the evening, letting me know how it was going. I appreciated all of the communication; it made me feel much more at ease, and let me enjoy my rare evening out with my husband! I wish that she lived local to us, so that I could hire her as our regular sitter. Such a great experience!

I am a bubbly and crafty person. I like to do all types of arts and crafts, and I love being outdoors. I have 8 years of experience with non-family care including ages newborn-grade school age, but I have 13 nieces and nephews that are from infant to grade school so I have experience with babysitting a wide range of ages. I have experience in the daycare setting as well as in the homes.I am currently a recent college graduate with my nursing degree. I also work PRN in the operating room at a hospital near my college. I am CPR certified. I am willing to assist with light house keeping and meal preparation. I also have my own transportation.

I love being a sitter because it gives me the opportunity to build meaningful connections with kids while helping families feel confident and supported. I enjoy creating fun, safe, and engaging environments where children can learn, laugh, and feel cared for. I have extensive experience working with kids of all ages, from infants to pre-teens, and I adapt easily to different personalities and routines. Over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in communication, patience, and problem-solving, which help me handle anything from daily care to unexpected challenges. I’m certified in CPR and first aid, and I also know how to swim, which gives families peace of mind during outdoor or water activities. Whether I’m helping with homework, playing games, or sticking to bedtime routines, I always make it a priority to be reliable, caring, and attentive. Babysitting truly brings me joy, and I take pride in being someone families can count on.

Taryn is amazing! She worked with us every step of figuring out how to bring a nanny into our home. So sweet, understanding, flexible, and of course, great with our little girl. Especially kind to first time mom who works from home.

I’m a somewhat recent college grad that has a degree in Psychology Education. I love children and am working towards getting my teaching license. I have 8 years experience of babysitting and nannying but have had one full time nannying gig. I would love to find a full time nannying position for over the summer :) and I can do possible date nights.

I am a nurturing caregiver with over 2 years of childcare experience, a background in Early Child Development, and a degree in psychology. I currently work at a daycare and am CPR/First Aid certified. I am comfortable caring for multiple children and providing a safe, engaging environment with play-based and educational activities. I’m happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, and comfortable with animals! I’m expecting a baby in February and seeking a position that allows me to bring my infant along. I wouldn't be able to start until May due to recovery from my own delivery, but if you're at all flexible with the starting date, I would love the opportunity! Our kiddos could socialize and learn together too if that's something you'd like!
