I've babysat since I was 12, worked as a camp counselor for 3 years, and helped with after-school supervision at MCCSC for a little over a year. I have babysat all ages, including infants to teenagers. I have been certified in first-aid and lifeguarding. As a camp counselor I learned to work with all types of children. I genuinely appreciate the unique qualities of each kid, and learning what helps them to be their best. I personally enjoy gardening, cooking, and doing ceramics in my free time, so as a babysitter I typically bring supplies to play outside, do arts and crafts, and bake. I have babysat children with behavioral problems, which has enhanced my patience even more. I understand the separation anxiety many kids can have when parents are away. My hope as a babysitter is to make the time I spend with them enjoyable, and feel more like a playdate than having a babysitter.
