Availability I ask that all requests are made known 48-72 hour ahead of time. That way I can properly prepare myself, and accommodate the needs and wants for you and your family. I do not drive, I ride public transportation, so I will only commute for 45 minutes to 1 hour. I'm willing to travel a distance if you are willing to discuss Uber or Lyft expenses. I'm available 2-3 days out of a week from 9:00am- 6pm ( I'm willing to work earlier if you are close) and Saturdays from 4:00pm-10:00pm. Bookings/Request A phone interview is required for all requests made. During our phone discussion, I want to know important information regarding your child or children ( Kids names, age, interest, allergies/medications, disciplinary actions, daily routine, etc.). I will also share with you my 11 wonderful years caring for youth from Infancy-School age! I will send my resume and references via email after our phone discussion. Orientation After our phone discussion an orientation is required, please note that through Sittercity anyone can make an account. I've been with them for 7 years and I had my share of scammers. So I ask that we set a day and time for us to meet to get an idea of one another's personality, meeting your child or children, and giving me a tour around your home. Payment I charge 20/hourly and one dollar additional child. The only form of payment I will accept is PayPal or Venmo. I will not accept cash or check, I also expect to be paid once I've finished the sitting and kids are calm enough for the transaction to run smoothly. If you are late there is a sub charge of $25 dollars.

I don't have any children of my own, but love being around children of all ages watching them react to new things and explore the world. I consider myself to be optimistic, friendly, energetic, creative, and firm when necessary. Outside of my full time job, I avoid screen time as much as possible. I much prefer to be out doing new things - love the arts, baking/cooking, and being active. I babysat regularly in high school and college - ages from infant to elementary. While in high school I volunteered at a local fitness center in the day care center, caring for children as their parents used the gym. I participated in Big Brothers/Big Sisters in college and enjoyed mentoring children in underserved communities. I have three young nieces and a nephew that live out of state. Hello families! My name is Amber (31 yo), and I have around 10 years of childcare experience behind me. I work full time as a graphic designer, but still like to pick up babysitting gigs to make extra cash and still be able to enjoy working with kids! The majority of the 10 years in childcare was nannying. I spent usually 1 to 2 years with different families with kids ages ranging from 3 months old to 12 years old. I mostly was with kids between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old though. I additionally worked one year as a teaching artist assistant for 4th graders and spent two years in Paris as an au pair for two children ages 3 and 5 when I started. Personality wise, I am pretty high energy, I am an artist and always love to implement art into childcare, and I see nannying/babysitting as a team sport. I am here to help you as parents and ready to implement your parenting style and happy to bring my own experience to help as well! I am very communicative and try to stay off my phone while with kids. I don't like when my friends ignore me on their phones while we hang out, so I am sure kids don't like that either. Overall, I am comfortable with light cleaning. If there is a nap, I can run a dishwasher or throw a load of laundry in, but I don't prefer to be a cleaning person on top of a nanny. I will always clean up whatever mess is made that day, but I like to be sure to mention my boundaries! (More of an issue with nannying/au pairing!)
