Hello families! My name is Amber (31 yo), and I have around 10 years of childcare experience behind me. I work full time as a graphic designer, but still like to pick up babysitting gigs to make extra cash and still be able to enjoy working with kids! The majority of the 10 years in childcare was nannying. I spent usually 1 to 2 years with different families with kids ages ranging from 3 months old to 12 years old. I mostly was with kids between the ages of 6 months and 5 years old though. I additionally worked one year as a teaching artist assistant for 4th graders and spent two years in Paris as an au pair for two children ages 3 and 5 when I started. Personality wise, I am pretty high energy, I am an artist and always love to implement art into childcare, and I see nannying/babysitting as a team sport. I am here to help you as parents and ready to implement your parenting style and happy to bring my own experience to help as well! I am very communicative and try to stay off my phone while with kids. I don't like when my friends ignore me on their phones while we hang out, so I am sure kids don't like that either. Overall, I am comfortable with light cleaning. If there is a nap, I can run a dishwasher or throw a load of laundry in, but I don't prefer to be a cleaning person on top of a nanny. I will always clean up whatever mess is made that day, but I like to be sure to mention my boundaries! (More of an issue with nannying/au pairing!)
