I love working with kids because it reminds me of how amazing and exciting the world can be. I started working with kids when I was about 13 years old. I started working with kids of special needs about 4 years ago. I have been working with infants for about 4 years as well and since then I have been working with children of all ages. In my spare time, I like to volunteer with the special needs community along with local events. When I'm not volunteering I enjoy reading and studying. One thing you should know about me is I work well with children that have special needs, and work well with larger groups of children. My skills include patience, enthusiasm, compassion and empathy.

I have a variety of babysitting experiences from ages infant to Elementary School as well as experience as a summer camp counselor. I also volunteer at my mom's school with Elementary School children including those with special needs. I enjoy doing activities with children, keeping them active and engaged and learning. I am CPR and First Aid trained.

I usually work in the food industry but would like to change it up. I used to babysit my siblings, I did a babysitting class in middle school, I love kids because they are fun to be around and I don't have my own yet. I eventually want to have my own daycare and do homeschooling. I have experience with diaper changes, feedings, nap time, structured play, going out in public, and helping with meal prep. I am reliable, always on time, and an overachiever. I believe communication is the best way for everyone to be on the same page and everyone stays safe.

I also love being able to help parents enjoy time together or doing the things they love while knowing their children are well taken care of. I have been a sitter for 7 years before joining the military. I even had the opportunity to raise my brother from when he was 2 weeks old to 8 years old.

Hi, I’m Makayla! I’m a sophomore at Kansas State University who has been babysitting for over 9 years and have cared for kids of all ages, from infants to school-aged children. I love taking care of children. Since I could remember I was always the designated babysitter for friends and family. Children naturally gravitate towards me as do I. I have a lot of babies in my life who I have cared for since birth. Mothers need time to sleep and individual time to rest which is where I step in and help. I have been a sitter when alone time is needed or even when needing a break. No job is too long or too short.
