I’m a Vanderbilt graduate with a bachelors in psychology, a minor in child development, and a CPR/BLS certification. In college I spent a lot of my time volunteering at Vanderbilt’s children’s hospital. I spent the last 9 months as a childcare teacher to infants, toddlers, and children up to six years old. I love working with children. Both caring for them and teaching them. Being able to be a positive influence in a child’s life is not only rewarding, but I find it to be an opportunity that one cannot find in many other places.

I believe there are outdated ways of discipline. I think positive reinforcement is essential in helping a child gain a strong self-esteem for this harsh world. Constantly barking at a child for every little thing causes a child to lose self-confidence. That said, discipline is of the utmost importance to ensure kids will establish a foundation to respect others. I love to be hands on. I get down and play and try to be a role model of doing the right thing at all times.. I currently work in a classroom setting and the children just flock to me. I love taking care of kids. I’m the oldest sister to 6 children ranging from 3-16 currently. I just moved away from them which has made me miss working with them. I was also a para for a kindergarten which I enjoyed. I am certified in CPR because I was a lifeguard and know basic first aid. I only can work till 5 with enough time to get home everyday except tuesdays and wednesdays due to another job that will conflict, I can however request days off or to switch if needed. I will do very early mornings if need be as well!

Hi! I’m a recent graduate from UK and will be starting my masters program at WKU in the fall. I absolutely love kids and cannot wait until I get to have my own! I've been a 4H camp counselor for many years in the past and have had such a blast! I am the 2nd eldest of 7 children, 3 of which are disabled. My youngest brother was born with Spina Bifida, and both of my younger twin sisters have ADHD and Autism.
