In my past professional life, I was a high school English and Humanities teacher, and I taught for 6 years in the Jefferson County School system before moving to Hebron in 2008. Childcare however, has always been a passion of mine as I absolutely love kids and spending time with them. I am passionate about spending as much time as possible outdoors (my family loves camping and hiking), with plenty of time for reading, imaginative play, arts and crafts and eating healthy.    Currently, I am looking for a part-time position with one family, ideally only 1-2 days a week, where I would provide care in your home, between the hours of approximately 9:00 - 2:30 with some additional flexibility on Fridays. I love being around, and have a passion for watching kids. I have been working in childcare for the passed 5 years. I enjoy caring for them, playing, and doing crafts! Ever since i was a kid, i was always the one watching the little ones at family events. I have always been good with children even since i was one myself. I know people have theses dreams of being a doctor or a celebrity, but my dream was always to be a mother and sitting for others not only lets me get to help others but it also brings me so much happiness. I am a hard worker, i will treat your child as if they were my own. I will clean up the house and cook meals if you need me too. I’m not so good at math but i can sure try to help with homework. I recently moved to Kentucky from Indiana. I have two children ages 24and 22. Both were exceptional children in school, were Honor Roll students. I love being a mom! I ran a cleaning business in Indianapolis for 20 years part time so I could be home with them as much as possible. All of my clients loved me and we became family. I always try to go above and beyond what is asked. I believe kids should be given structure but also be allowed freedom to explore the world. I loved taking my kids outside and allowing them to use their imaginations. I am CPR certified and have my CDA certification I am also fine with doing household chores, light meal prep, etc during nap time etc so that I stay busy and to help the family out.
