I have loved working with children since before I can remember, I am naturally good with them and they enjoy being around me. I am a goofy nature loving person. Hi there! A little about myself - I'm a student at UMass Amherst, though I've stepped away for a bit and am currently in paramedic school. I became an EMT this past summer and decided that I wanted to continue on to the next level of care. I plan to later return to UMass and finish my undergraduate schooling, majoring in psychology while also on the Pre-medical track. From there, I hope to attend medical school and become a physician. Why hire me? Firstly, I absolutely adore kids... pets as well! I have always enjoyed kids, even as a kid myself! In the past, I've worked as a gymnastics coach and had a really great experience working with kids of various ages. I was often responsible for watching groups of kids and am comfortable in doing so. I have worked as a paraprofessional for 4 years at an elementary school. I absolutely loved it but am finding that I need a change of pace. I didn't want to step away completely from working with kids so I thought this would be the right next step. My experience is mostly with ages 5-8 on the ASD spectrum but working at a school, I am constantly surrounded by all ages and personalities. I am CPR and CPI certified. I love to do crafts, read stories, and play games with the kids. I have toileting experience and I have my own car. I am very excited to start working with a family and watch their kids learn and grow.
