As a teenager and babysitter I knew I wanted to work with children but as a pediatric doctor, But once I took Child development classes and parenting it really opened my eyes to another interest and that was being a early childhood education teacher. taking these classes I learned a lot about a parent perspective and childcare teachers as well in certain situations also along with being a teacher studying the different methods and also hands on experience on writing lesson plans and actually interacting with the children. By my senior year I did an internship at a child care facility to experience how a center is ran and the interaction with the children and teachers. After I graduated I worked for Kindercare Learning Center over a year, Children Of America almost 3 years, and a privately owned daycare for over a year before I recently decided to help local families who need care for their children.

As a mom of 2, soon to be 3, I know what it means to nurture a child. I believe in training my children up in the way they should go. I love doing arts and crafts with the kids. We sing gospel songs and age appropriate songs together. I am not a huge fan of YouTube, but I love being more hands on “pencil to paper”. I create workbooks to cater to each child. I also provide Spanish teaching, Sight word flash cards, and Biblical teaching (parents choice). I’m a huge fan of hooked on phonics, so this course can be provided as well. Thank you.

I am prior Navy and have spent many hours babysitting or volunteering in nurseries, daycare, and individual homes. I have a bachelor's in social work and sociology. I am going to graduate school for child welfare in the fall 2025. I love kids and the challenges that come with them. I have watched up to five children at a time but prefer a smaller group so I can give each child the attention that they need.
