I am laid back, patient, encourage creativity and exploration, love to read and teach.From 2003 - 2009 I worked for several agencies that assist individuals with developmental disabilities. I love working with children, I have also worked at an elementary school in the guidance department, as well as nannied/babysat for several families for more than 10 years. I taught Sunday School at Saint Philip Neri parish from 1999-2009, ranging from 1st - 6th grades.  I have several years experience in a daycare setting.  My educational background is in psychology and human services. I have nannied for infants as young as 3 months, and the oldest child is now 15 years, who I care for occasionally on weekends. Hi! Previously a 1st grade teacher for 3 years, before that, a preschool teacher for 3 years and in infant care 2. My years experience as a teacher gave me the opportunity to run and operate my own learning pod (daycare) in my home for 3 years while I was living in Hawaii due to my husbandbeing in the Navy. Overall I've been working with children, infants to middle school for about 12 years now. I recently moved to Maryland, and though I won't be opening a pod while I'm here, I am looking forward to helping out where I can!
