I have recently graduated from UNH with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies and a minor in Anthropology. I have an array of experiences working with children. I have newborn experience, and have had long term nanny positions with multiple families. I also have experience working at a preschool. I am patient, energetic and goofy. I love art and being creative as well as the outdoors. I think it is extremely important for children to develop a loving relationship with nature and the outdoors. I grew up in Illinois but recently moved out to Maine. I used to work for Presence Marketing as the National Senior Data Lead for 10 years but got laid off during COVID. Before moving out to Maine I completed my general education courses at Harper College in Illinois to graduate as a science major. My ultimate goal is to move forward and become an ultrasound technician. Looking back, my greatest achievement in high school was volunteering for a program called Best Buddies. We worked with students who had mental disabilities, and I personally worked one on one with a student who was mute. In the end, I believe he taught me more in those 3 years than I could ever teach him. I’ve been babysitting on and off for about 12 years, but my favorite experience by far was babysitting twins (a boy & a girl) for a little over a year and a half. When I first started the twins were only a couple of months old, so it was definitely a learning curve but extremely rewarding in the end. I love babysitting kids and pets because they're the best kind of company anyone can ask for. Kids are innocent, pure and can make you laugh with the things they do and the imagination they have. I currently work as a line Cook and a behavioral health professional. I work hard in the heat and stress of a kitchen while keeping a calm head. I also work with children and teenagers with neurodevelopmental disorders as a BHP, getting to know them and assisting them to achieve their life skills, and help manage behavior. I have many skills that I can bring to babysitting your kiddo! I like to get to learn about them first by observing or hearing about them from you parents or them, themselves!
