I am a firm believer that I have the best career I could have possibly found to fulfill my life. I encourage the exploration of emotions in a safe and supportive way for each of the children I have the privilege of caring for. I also take pride in supporting the parent’s through any struggles and celebrate the many successes they have on their parenting journey. I love creating an environment of learning while actively playing and developing crafts based on the interests of the children I care for. I believe that if I begin teaching a child about subjects they already have an interest in, then that will set them up for a lifetime love of learning. I’m an avid reader and hope to inspire the same passion for literature in the children I care for. I utilize children’s books, music, baby sign and conversation about our activities to Read more develop language skills. Schedules are important to me with the expectation of wiggle room and an understanding that letting children be exactly where they are can be more helpful than rushing into the next activity. I choose to be child centered in the care I offer, emotional intelligence, creativity and kindness is the basis of each interaction I have. I’m thankful that the parent’s that have given me the privilege to care for their families have been comfortable with letting the child develop personal preferences through our time together. Local story times, music together and yoga at home or out and about have also been beneficial to the development of the children I've cared for. I also enjoy being able to help with household chores, so the time each parent has outside of work can be focused on family time.
