Hi, my name is Valerie and I am interested in part-time childcare work. I am a mom of 5 Vikings ( as my husband and I call them). My two oldest have moved out, and I have 2 in High School and 1 in Community College. I have been a stay-at-home mom for (most of) 23 yrs. I started following my kids to school, and volunteering in classrooms until the school finally hired me! When I realized that my kids would rather be with their friends I decided it was time to get out of the house. My neighbor agreed and offered me up as a nanny for friends of hers. I obtained my CPR certification and accepted a temporary Nanny position, part-time, for an infant. I so enjoyed my time with a little again! My position ended when circumstances changed and the family moved from the area. Since that first job, I’ve had a family in town for two days for work and hired me to care for their infant for a few days. Then two very lovely families who each only needed me part of the week became my primary jobs and kept my schedule full. Then it happened. A job offer for Husband, in Michigan. Since we are originally from Michigan, we made the very difficult decision to move. Yay Husband. Bummer to leave the families I had been a part of. Pre-Husband and Vikings, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science at Central Michigan University. Being a bit of a wanderer, I found myself in Chicago working at an Ad Agency! My family and I moved to Greensboro about 8yrs ago, and loved having both mountains and Ocean available for our adventures. However, the never ending heat and humidity will not be missed. I enjoy getting outdoors daily, and perhaps it’s the Earth Science background, but I love taking the little ones outside and introducing them to the trees, flowers, birds, whatever we come across. Kids are such natural sponges, they soak it all in. Having the opportunity to smell or touch or hold something greatly improves their understanding of their environment.

Valerie has been AMAZING! We've been lucky to have her services for about 12 hours a week for the past year. She has beautifully cared for, taught and loved on our now 1.5 year-old son (who just adores her) while my wife and I both worked from home... as well as occasionally our now 4 year-old daughter (who also adores her!). Additionally, Valerie would support our child-care needs for weekends-away, sick-days etc. Valerie brought such love and attention to our kiddos, their evolving allergy needs and eagerly took them outside for daily walks and exploration. She has been a true gift. We are so sad that Valerie will be moving away, even though our youngest is starting school in the fall, we always hoped to continue relying on Valerie for her wonderful care of our young family. We hold her in the highest regard, and future families would be lucky to have Valerie as part of their child-raising village.

I enjoy working with kid, I’ve been working at a before and after care for an elementary school. I am somewhat new to Child Care although it gives me experiences for the career I want to pursue. I am CPR certified/First Aid, bilingual in Spanish etc. In my senior year of high school I took a class to help a teacher out and see what it looks like behind a teacher's lens. I coached rec gymnastics for ages 3-10 and enjoyed working and see the kids improve. I am really excited to bring my passion out and hopefully build connections with kids. Wanting to gain experience but also supporting your families needs :)!

Phoebe worked with our boys for a few months on the weekends when we needed some extra help. She was always punctual, a great communicator, and very responsible. She was also very good at entertaining our wild boys, often creating fun, active games for them even when they were cooped up inside. I would recommend her highly. :)

Hi! I’m Kendyle, a student at the University of Michigan with 8 years of babysitting experience. I started babysitting when I was 11, riding my bike to care for five kids down the street ranging in age from 1 month to 9 years old. Since then, I’ve worked with over 15 families and truly enjoy building connections with kids and watching them grow. I’ve cared for children of all ages and have experience watching up to 8 kids on my own. I’m certified in babysitting and CPR, and I’ve also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor, which has given me even more experience working with children in a safe and structured setting. In addition to childcare, I’ve also tutored kids and can help with homework when needed. I’m reliable, patient, and always happy to lend a hand. I’d love the opportunity to care for and support your family!

Hello! My name is Mikayla Warner. I have been working with kids my whole life but started actually getting paid for it when I was 15. Growing up with 3 younger siblings, I learned from a young age how to navigate through many different situations. I have 3 Associate Degrees in Criminal Justice, Occupational Studies, and Liberal Arts. I'm 25 years old & married, and while I don't have any kids of my own yet, my husband's family is quite large so I have over 20 nieces and nephews ranging from all ages. I have built individual bonds and gained trust with each of them, including the ones who were older (9-14) and love each as if they are my own. I have worked at multiple daycare centers, nannied for a couple different families, am certified in first aid, CPR, and was raised by not one but two police officers so I always pay attention to my surroundings. I believe that all play is learning - whether it's jumping in mud puddles and learning about worms, or making macaroni necklaces for hand-Eye coordination, count me in!!

We hired Mikalya in May 2026 to watch our then 4 month old 3 days a week in a nanny share with another family with an 8 month old until we got our spot in daycare. It has been a great experience. Working remotely, I have had the opportunity to observe her skills firsthand. She has been proficient in figuring out and balancing both baby's schedules and needs and soothes two crying babies like a pro. She is communicative, reliable, and punctual. We plan to retain her as a babysitter after we start daycare.

Although we ended up getting an international au pair instead of a local nanny, Dianna was prompt and communicated well during our interview process. I could tell she was genuinely interested in children and felt she would have been a great fit for my family. If the au pair doesn't work out, I will definitely call Dianna first thing!

Absolutely Outstanding Nanny! We have been truly blessed to have Gabrielle (Gabby) as our son’s nanny for the past year, and it’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye. From day one, Gabby has been an absolute rockstar — always on time, every single day, without fail. Her reliability gave us complete peace of mind as working parents. Gabby communicated beautifully with us and showed wonderful initiative whenever our now 4-year-old was having a tough moment. Whether it was a meltdown, a tricky behavior phase, or just needing a little extra patience and creativity, she jumped in with kindness, problem-solving, and a huge heart. She didn’t just watch our son — she truly cared for him, helped him grow, and made every afternoon brighter. Gabby quickly became a trusted, loved member of our family. We will miss her warm smile, her energy, and the joy she brought into our home every single day. Gabby, congratulations on your next exciting chapter — you deserve all the best! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you’ve poured into our son and our family this past year. You made a real, lasting difference, and we will never forget it. We will miss you so much! We would recommend Gabrielle to any family in a heartbeat — she is truly one of the best. 5 stars doesn’t even feel like enough!
