Hi families! I am a recent graduate from the University of San Diego, now living back at home in MN until grad school. I was a communication major but looking to go into Speech Pathology post-grad. I have 7 years of experience babysitting but also have a brother with pretty severe special needs, so I have always been a caretaker in some way! I love being interactive and doing fun activities. After my "journalism" career (too many ad agencies and a faltering book industry), I began working with children, the elderly, and pets. Being a trusted, reliable presence in their lives provides a life balance that I enjoy, and utilizing a care provider with a good attitude is beneficial for everyone involved. For a few years (until I broke my arm skiing on too much ice), I worked part-time as a CNA (Cert. Nursing Assistant), but began spending more time as a substitute for teachers and paraprofessionals in local schools. When Covid came along, I teamed up with a family who wanted to keep a close watch on safety for their premature baby. I was lucky to find a temporary position that allowed me to return to this family to care for their second child, who is now in pre-school (I still babysit on their "date nights." I have raised two sons, one diagnosed with ADHD and the other with Asperger Syndrome (a high-functioning form of autism), conditions that often swim in the same genetic pool. I played on their strengths when offering activity choices to them, and today they are both doing well as young adults following their own career paths. When my children were very young, I taught Sunday school to grade-school-aged children while running a licensed in-home childcare center. I love to do individual outdoor activities that match the weather, although walking my shared Corgi must happen regardless of temperature or precipitation. I tend to eat very well -- my goal is to retain as much of my physical, spiritual, and mental health as possible. I love sharing this knowledge with little ones and helping them to grow into who they were meant to become.

My name is Calli Dillon, I am 19 almost 20. I am a junior at the university of Minnesota. I am majoring in early childhood education. I am a float teacher for kinder-village daycare on the weekday from 10am to 6pm. I really would love some babysitting jobs for the weekends to make some extra money and get some extra experience.
