Hi! My passion for childcare started at a young age. Around 10–11 years old, I began babysitting for family members for small amounts of money, which quickly led to caring for children of family friends and friends of friends through word-of-mouth recommendations. What started as occasional babysitting grew into a career that I've truly enjoyed for over 10 years. Since then, I've gained extensive childcare experience working in three childcare centers, followed by placement through a nanny agency before transitioning to freelance nannying on my own. After my "journalism" career (too many ad agencies and a faltering book industry), I began working with children, the elderly, and pets. For a few years (until I broke my arm skiing), I worked part-time as a CNA (Nursing Assistant), but began spending more time as a substitute for teachers and paraprofessionals in local schools. When Covid came along, I teamed up with a family who wanted to keep a close watch on safety for their premature baby. I was lucky to find a temporary position that allowed me to return to this family to care for their second child, who is now in pre-school (I still babysit on their "date nights"). I have raised two sons, one diagnosed with ADHD and the other with high-functioning autism, conditions that often swim in the same genetic pool. I played on their strengths when offering activity choices to them, and today they are both doing well as young adults following their own career paths. When my children were very young, I taught Sunday school to grade-school-aged children while running a licensed in-home childcare center. I love to do individual outdoor activities that match the weather. I tend to eat very well -- my goal is to retain as much of my physical, spiritual, and mental health as possible. I love sharing this knowledge with little ones and helping them to grow into who they were meant to become.

Hi! My name is Kate. I am 39 years old. I live in Oakdale, MN, and I have 3 boys. Luke, my oldest, just turned 18. Matt is 9, and Logan is 5 years old. Now that all my boys are in school, I have some open time. I was a teacher for 14 years. I taught private kindergarten, first, second, and 3rd grade. I was A stay at home Mom for 6 years. Now I have decided to fo back to school to be a paramedic and am currently enrolled in school. 90% of it is online and at my own pace so I can work around any time I am needed. I absolutely love children. One of my favorite thingd is is to see a child learn something for the very first time. The smile they get when something first clicks with them is the best moment with kiddos I think. I have taught many kiddos and I have loved them all as if they were my own. Lol) We have a golden retriever her name is Rosie she is a crisis response animal sometimes when bad situations happens like school shootings, mass shootings, natural disasters, hospital visits and nursing home visits we will get dispatched out and we hop on a plane and go help out and share the love and support of a golden to help people feel better. Our rosie girl just turned 10 so we don't travel far as often anytime unless there was a big need for ALOT of Goldens.
