Hi Parents! My name is Katie, At the end of June I had to say goodbye to the most wonderful family, and precious little boy, as he enrolled in pre-school full time. Therefore, after three years I am back on the market. At this exact moment I am more interested in short term opportunites, and babysitting, but that could very well change in the next few weeks. My previous exprerience includes four different families. In 2008 I was a temporary nanny/ regular babysitter for a high energy family in Columbia, MO before they moved back to Virginia. At the same time I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family with two little girls. Over the 14 months I worked at their home, I had the enormous pleasure of watching these beautiful ladies grow and learn so much, but I had to make the painful decision to leave for St. Louis to pursue my acting career. While I was far too busy working to get any acting done over the course of our year in St. Louis, I enjoyed my time in the city. But a change of job for my boyfriend, and my bosses' move to Minnesota called us back to Columbia in 2010. For the past three years I have worked here in town with a great family and had the pleasure of working with their "baby" boy, and have helped him grow from a tiny two month old to a precocious, chatty, and energetic three year old. My background starts in Cabot, AR where I was raised and worked as a babysitter and church nursery worker in High School. Upon graduation, I enrolled at Stephens College, in Columbia, MO, graduating with a BFA in Theatre Arts-- in just three years and two summers! While in the theatre program timeliness, organization, and dependability were strongly emphasized, and since graduation I feel like I've taken a lot of that with me. As for personal intrest: I am an energetic, outgoing, and caring individual. I love kids and hope to have my own one day! I don't smoke, love cats and dogs, and have a flexible schedule. My child care philosophy is a heathy mix of traditonal and new age ideology. I believe time outs are a genereally appropriate form of dicipline, but find I rarely need them. I am very good at sensing the warning signs of tantrums and tend to defuse the situation before it gets to that point. But I also believe that children need consistant structure and love from their adults not simply another playmate that they can boss around. I have worked closely with children agedall the way from 2 months to 6 years, and have potty trained 3 kids now (2 girls and a boy)! If given the opportunity, I know I can make this the very best experience for you possible, because I am confident in myself, and in my child-caring skills and know that once you have met me, you will be too! I like to think of myself more as a third parent than as any employee, because I feel the stronger the bond is between parent and gaurdian the better the children's care will be. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your children, to see if a future could be created together!

My name is Kaitlyn Phee, and I am the Lead Twos Teacher at Mother's Day Out Preschool in Columbia, Missouri. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education online at Grand Canyon University to further my career as a toddler teacher. While earning my degree, I am working full time running my own classroom teaching two year olds basic vocabulary, numbers, concepts, and skills in a play-based but academically motivated learning environment. I previously also led the Junior Preschool class at Mother's Day Out, and before that I co-taught in the Twos room and Threes room at Kids Unlimited Daycare and Preschool in Jefferson City. Teaching and working with kids has been my passion as long as I can remember. In high school, I worked as a volleyball coach at HEAT Volleyball Club in Wisconsin, coaching the VolleySeeds program that worked with kids aged 4-9, as well as assistant coaching the 15s and 12s teams. I've also been babysitting since I was 15 years old. While I primarily work with toddlers at the preschool, I have experience babysitting and taking care of kids of all ages ranging from infant to thirteen. I am also certified in basic first aid and CPR. Outside of working with kids, my hobbies include outdoor activities like hiking and biking, cooking, reading, and sports. I'd love the opportunity to get to know you and your family and would be excited to work with you!

I am a dependable, friendly, and compassionate babysitter. I am currently a student at Mizzou studying Early Childhood Education. This past year I took a gap year and had the opportunity to work as a full time teacher at WUFLC where I learned so much about the care of children of all ages. I am currently looking for occasional babysitting or a part-time nanny position if it works with my class schedule. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old, babysitting family and family friends' children as well. I have experience with food allergies and the use of an Avi-Q as well as an Epi-pen. I love creating different activities. I love getting the chance to take kids out on adventures to explore their environment through nature along with engaging in arts and crafts to spark our imaginations.

Hey! I’m Abby 👋 I’ve been a lead infant teacher for about 3 years, and I’m also a mom to a sweet and energetic 4-year-old girl. I’m currently taking online classes to earn my master’s degree in Instructional Design, and I love using what I learn to create fun, meaningful experiences for kids. Working with babies has always been my passion — I love watching them hit new milestones and seeing their little personalities grow. I think having both personal and professional experience makes such a difference in this field — it’s helped me understand what little ones truly need to feel safe, loved, and supported. When I’m not working, I’m usually watching Netflix, getting a workout in, playing my Nintendo Switch, or spending time with my daughter 💕
