I'm a graduate of Appalachian State University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education with focus in voice. I love teaching and am very active in the music community. Outside of teaching general music and chorus classes, I continue to perform as a soloist and apart of ensembles. Last summer, I was a full time mountain bike lead camp counselor for 6-8 year olds, planning daily/weekly schedules and ensuring proper care in regard to heat index and food consumption. It was such a rewarding experience to watch the kids learn and grow confidence in their abilities while maintaining safety as a top priority! I have immense patience and meet children where they are. I am comfortable and have experience with animals of all sizes. I can cook, meal prep, clean, help with homework (I have a BA in Mathematics and Statistics and tutoring experience), handle appointments, and I have my own car with a good driving record.
