I am an experienced mother, nanny and retired nurse. My nursing back ground is varied, the most recent pediatrics, school nursing. I love providing care and actively engaging with babies and children. My primary interest is supporting families with in home care for newborns through preschool age. Fully vaccinated and boosted for covid. Former family circumstances changed and my 2-4 day nanny employment ended. I was with this wonderful little person from 8 weeks through 8 months. I continue to provide babysitting for a number of families with all ages on as as needed, back up basis. Pamela

Pamela is a real gem. She's knowledgeable, compassionate, and most importantly, really good with kids. Added plus in our house, she's a beautiful singer too. So hearing her sing to our daughter was as much fun for us as it was for her. Another item that we recommend her on is her communication skills. She is highly communicative with her families and genuinely cares about the kids.

Hi, I’m Korie! I started babysitting as soon as I was allowed to take the Red Cross babysitter’s course at age 11 (30 years ago!) Since then I’ve worked as a professional nanny for several families, spent ten years running my own martial arts, wellness, and leadership program for kids, led a small homeschool preschool pod, and developed a parent coaching program called Thrive Atlas. These days I run parenting workshops and raise my two amazing girls, ages 8 and 14. Children have been the center of my life’s work for a long time, and I find it deeply rewarding. My approach to caregiving is attachment-focused, which means I pay close attention to building trust and a sense of safety with each child. When kids feel secure and genuinely seen, they’re free to explore, learn and develop a layered understanding of the world around them. I draw on Montessori and Waldorf styles, following the child’s natural curiosity, offering hands-on and imaginative play, and creating calm, unhurried rhythms to the day. I also love weaving in basic Spanish and French vocabulary and plenty of time in nature. One of my priorities is listening to you as a family before I begin spending time with your little one. Every household has its own values, routines, and priorities, and honoring those is important to me. If you’d like to talk about what your family needs, I’d love to connect.

Hi! I'm a professional nanny and babysitter with over 10 years of experience, and have worked with kids aged infant all the way up to school-aged. I've also been an assistant preschool teacher, camp counselor, and tutor. I genuinely enjoy working with kids, learning about their interests, and helping support families. As a sitter and nanny, I love doing arts and crafts, reading, playing outside, and exploring nature. I'm very crafty and creative in my own time, and love setting up fun projects for kids if they're open to it too. I'm familiar with nap and bedtime routines, meal and snack prep, diaper changing and potty training, and for infants, bottle/formula feeding, swaddling, and tummy time. I'm a Red Cross-certified babysitter and First Aid-certified as well. I have experience with light housekeeping, pet care, and managing schedules as well. I'm a non-smoker, fully vaccinated, and am a licensed driver with my own car and a clean driving record. I can provide references as well. I look forward to working with you and meeting your little ones!

Anastasia took care of our two toddlers for nearly a week when we visited Asheville for a conference at a local resort. She was very sweet, gentle natured and caring and took excellent care of them. She followed all directions that we asked and the kids had a lot of fun in her care. Her sister also visited with the kids and helped her with some of their baths and bedtime. We were very lucky to find her!

I've worked with kids in one way or another since 2008. My main reason for making myself available on this platform is to help parents of children with special needs find reliable, worry-free child care. Having worked in the Behavioral Therapy (ABA) world for over a decade, I know how hard it can be to find child care for a kiddo with atypical behaviors; and that it's against the rules for most companies who provide therapy services to also provide babysitting. My experience includes: Autism, ADHD, ODD, Down Syndrome, OCD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, aggression, sensory processing, deaf/hearing impaired, learning disabilities, and children in need of general behavioral shaping. I am a Certified Behavior Technician, semi-fluent in ASL (American sing language), NC Early Educator Certified, and CPR/First Aid trained. I currently work with kids on the spectrum and I thought it would be nice to offer families some relief in the sense of knowing they can leave their, not disabled, but differently able, children with an experienced caregiver. It's a full time job to be a parent and I believe it is so important to be able to get away and TAKE A BREAK! If anyone has seen it all, it's me! If you think your child is too difficult to leave with someone, let me prove you wrong! Having gone into dozens of homes for home therapy, I am very comfortable doing so for babysitting as well. Children with special needs have my heart and I am a natural when it comes to caring for them in a therapeutic, creative way. *I have my own materials, reinforcers, fidgets, and a plethora of sensory satisfying toys. *My rates are high for a reason-but please reach out if needed. I can be flexible. 🙂 *I am open to babysitting typical functioning children. Reach out about rates. *I am open to referrals, if you see this and know of someone who could benefit from my experience, please don’t hesitate to link us!

I am a mom of two and work in a local charter school. I foster meaningful engagement and healthy child development. I have a genuine love for children and my greatest goal is to create healthy environments for children to thrive in. Over the past decade+, I have worked with various families in the Asheville area with children ages 1-15. Currently, I am babysitting on an as needed basis. I am also available to help the families I sit for in other ways with overnight sitting and house/pet sitting as needed. I feel comfortable with all age groups and I make a point to nurture sensory and other learning experiences in a fun way. I am also quite comfortable in dealing with the "not so pretty" moments - irritability, crying, diapers, etc. and have become accustomed to helping in other ways with light housework, cooking, tutoring, and whatever else might be helpful to the family. I have experience counseling youth with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges as well and am highly sensitive to these needs as a sitter. I encourage outdoor and creative play, and I enjoy providing challenges that are both safe and rewarding. Ideally, I am looking for someone who is looking for an occasional babysitter for a weekend day or evening or for temporary assignments during the summer. I welcome multi-family sits or “mom-nanny” arrangements in support of socialization with either or both of my children (2 and 5) as well.
