In High School I lifeguarded, coached a swim team of 75 children (ages 5-18), worked at a daycare in the infant and toddler rooms, taught private swim lessons to ages 6mo-15, and had a book of families I babysat for regularly. While I was in college I worked at a Residential Facility for special needs children and I was trained to assist children with many different needs. I'm an active & healthy young grandmother living in South Charlotte for the last 11+ years, now in Raintree since 5/2021 (previously lived in Long Island, NY). I moved from NY to NC due to illness in my family in Virginia and my desire to be near my daughter and her family in the Ballantyne area. I have been babysitting since I was in grade school. I knew when I was young i wanted to be a teacher, I started my career as a TA in a kindergarten class, and after college i found a local Montessori School and pursued my certificate. I spent most of my time in my classroom with 10 2-5 year olds. During summer camp i work with children as young as 18 months old. I have experience with potting training and diaper changing. When with children I would rather be reading a book, playing or listening to music and dancing. During my time at the Montessori school I was a babysitter for some of the parents for date nights or special events like weddings or birthday parties. I spent 18 months living in Argentina, during this time I was hired my a babysitting agency for local and foreign parents. I was a nanny for 8 months for a little girl (age 6 months when started). I also did temporary babysitting for parents in town for a week. Mainly with infants. Please know my availability is based on if my bf has work, as we share a car.
