I am a lifelong professional educator , mother and step-mother.  I began babysitting at age 11 and have been babysitting and/or teaching ever since. I have a masters degree in education as well as CPR/First Aid certification.  I own my own car and have a clean driving record.  I love pets. 

I am a mother of three successful adult children. I’ve spent my life caring for children of all ages. Most recently, I resigned from my position as a high school English teacher after 18 years of service in the same district where I worked starting as a para educator in the elementary school. I hold a Masters degree in education where child development and psychosocial courses were required. My only calling has been to care for children. My goal is always to foster a love for learning, creating, and exploring in a safe space and place where children can feel empowered and motivated to challenge themselves. I always seek to teach children, kindness, and open mindedness so that they may gracefully and bravely interact with the with the world around them. I would describe myself as warm and nurturing, as my high school students always told me I gave major, “ mom vibes.” My experience caring for young children includes nannying for three young boys as a college student, working for the VNA’s after school program and summer camp program, also as a college student, childcare work at a gym, and raising my own children.My references primarily come from colleagues and principals I’ve worked with. All in all I would love to meet and work with a family that wants to cultivate a culture of kindness and learning in their home and with their children.

After I left that job, I promised myself that I would never work a job I wasn't passionate about ever again. When I turned 16, I began working at a before and after school program as well as a summer camp (ages 5-14) until I was 20. I also worked one summer at an outdoor summer camp as well. I graduated college with a degree in elementary education in 2023 and have been working as a first grade teacher. Through these experiences, I have gained extensive knowledge and developed essential skills that help me create positive interactions with the children I care for.

I have been in childcare for a few years now, but I love babysitting on the side! I’d ideally love to become a nanny, but haven’t been able to fully leave the childcare world yet. I have always been around kids and love to be around them. I have a few years of schooling where I just got my Lead certification within Early Ed and am going for my degree!!

Hello! My name is Allison, and I’m a recent college graduate looking for part-time child care work. Through my undergraduate experience studying education and anthropology, I developed a deep appreciation for connection and communication with all people- especially kids! As a part of my degree program, I have completed significant coursework in human development, with a focus on effective learning environments and holistic education. Outside of the classroom, I have worked as a substitute teacher in both New Hampshire and Connecticut, delivering lesson plans and filling in for absent teachers/educational professionals across the school day. For the past 5 years, I have worked at a summer camp in Amherst, NH, moving into a supervisory position in 2024. In addition to running daily camp activities through the summer, my role includes managing a staff of 6 full-time counselors, providing behavioral management support/redirection, and coordinating field trips to many exciting places across the state. Through my work, I have maintained an active CPR, AED, and FirstAid certification. In my spare time, I love being outside and interacting with the natural world and all that it has to offer. I love running, hiking, climbing, and a plethora of additional activities that allow me to experience the incredible natural world.
