I have been a childcare provider for 20 years. I love caring for children, teaching them and watching them grow. I was a live-in nanny for 8 years and have been a live-out nanny/sitter for the past 10 years. I have experience with everything from wake-up to bedtime for newborns to teens. Preparing meals/bottles, sleep training, bathing, homework, supervise/schedule playdates, driving to/from school, camp and activities. I enjoy taking the children for walks, to the park, beach, pool, library, etc., arts & crafts, games, reading and playing sports.

I was born and raised in Long Island. I am currently looking for a position or positions where I can take my daughter with me. (I would have backup childcare for days when she is sick or has appointments). I am looking for a minimum of 15 hours a week, all the way up to full time hours. I have a reliable vehicle and am comfortable driving children. I have had background and driving checks run through Sittercity, and would welcome outside background checks if you would so wish.  

Hi! I wanted to share that I have availability in my schedule to offer private swimming lessons to those 5 & up starting this May! I graduated from Stony Brook with a degree in Psychology, and am currently a full time Nanny during the weekdays- offering this as a weekend activity. I swam Varsity Swimming & Diving throughout my high school years, and have been offering lessons since then. I incorporate a fun, one on one experience, allowing your child to learn throughout a safe, enjoyable course. Lessons are held at clients house. Hey parents, As you can see my name is Lauren Higgins. I am originally from Bozeman, Montana and I received two degrees in Biology and Spanish at SMU in Dallas. I plan on becoming a therapist for domestic violence and SA survivors in a couple years, but right now I conduct research on medical devices Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. My experience with children started when I was 11 years old. I took a babysitting course offered at my local hospital so that I could nanny for a family friend all summer. It was so much fun and I have enjoyed caring for children ever since. In addition to babysitting for many families over the years, I also worked with children for my job at Entertaining Montana in high school. My position in this company was to play Disney princesses at children's parties where I sang, made twisty balloons, face painted and much more. It was the best job I had ever had and really drove my passion for working with kids. Additionally, throughout college I was a sitter on an app in Dallas where I had a five star rating as given by the parents I sat for.
