I just moved here last year from Cleveland OH, I am going to be a junior in college but doing it remotely. I have very flexible hours and I am very good at communicating with parents. Since I was a young girl, I have always been babysitting/care taking for my neighbors, cousins, siblings and more. In Ohio I was a nanny for 2.5 years for 3 children. I was able to take them to any places, appointments, practices, and more that they needed to be at. I also had to cook meals, prepare snacks, help with homework and more. I loved taking the kids I took care of to the park, on walks, or really anything that they wanted to do. Since being in NY I was the Nanny for a family with a 5 and 7 year old. As well as a Nanny for a family with a 6 month old. I am CPR certified and I am studying to be a Physical Therapist at the time. Id love to meet in person or over the phone to discuss more and of course meet you and your child.

I am a 37 year-old early childhood teacher from Chile. While studying during college, I spent a summer babysitting for a family whose mother needed assistance watching a 2 year-old while caring for her newborn. I was responsible for clothing and feeding the child and enjoyed doing some activities with him. I worked in my home country following my studies as a rural public school teacher for a year and a half. My nine students ranged in age from 4 to 6. After that, I came to the United States under a work visa to work as a Spanish teacher in a private school in Massachusetts for one year and a half, developing activities for toddlers. After I finished my contract with the school, I worked as a babysitter for infants and toddlers. Until I moved to the United States (March 2024), I taught in a Catholic school. I worked there for 7 and a half years as a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher. I managed a class size of 34 students with a co-teacher. I did remote teaching during the pandemic and am comfortable leading online classes. I love storytelling. I took online classes in storytelling and it is one of my student’s favorite activities. I really enjoy singing and I believe that it’s a great way to release stress and an amazing tool I have used in my teaching. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

Hello there! I live in Troy, NY and work at the New York State Museum, leading field trips and developing educational programming for children and families. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring historic sites in the area and playing with my cat, Vincent Van Gogh. I have been a regular sitter for ten families. While attending Hartwick College, I was a New Student Orientation Leader and a Resident Adviser. I've cared for children under one year of age and supervised upper class student residence halls in college, so I'm comfortable with any age group! Previously, I have volunteered at Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse, NY, helping preschool children with a variety of special needs play games and work on basic skills. I’ve worked in a variety of cultural and historical sites to engage visitors with art and history, creating family programming and facilitating activities with after-school programs. I have had anywhere from one to twenty children in my care at a time without a problem and I am comfortable in any situation. I know that caring for your little ones requires a lot of quick thinking and improvising to keep everyone happy and safe. I approach any challenge with a positive attitude and compassion, I think it's important to teach young people to problem solve and help others, and encourage children to understand themselves and take responsibility for their actions. I specialize in multi-tasking and knowing the words to almost every Disney song. Some of my hobbies include reading, hiking, baking, and crafting. I am a safe driver with no history of driving violations. I also have experience caring for pets and looking after houses. I look forward to meeting your family!

Hello Parents! I am looking to provide care for two children in my home in Watervliet! I am not your average home provider so keep reading, you won't be disappointed! I had my first children, twin girls, on July 30th and I will be looking to care for children of any age in my own home when they are about 3-4 months old (no later than November). Trying to fill spots ASAP so reserve yours today! I have over 15 years of experience caring for children of all ages, in home, school, and daycare environments. I was most recently the Assistant Director/Preschool Teacher of a successful home childcare program in Watervliet where I oversaw all communication with families, creating and implementation of our educational and fun curriculum and managed assisting staff. Prior to my four year career at The Giving Tree I was an in-home Nanny and an Assistant Teacher/Floater. In addition to my experience and love for caring for children, I also have a B. A. in Psychology, including a number of Early Childhood courses, numerous hours of NYS approved childcare training, including the Health and Safety course required for NYS Child Care Licensing. I have full knowledge of and will follow ALL NYS childcare regulations, including those of the Food Program, (even though I am not currently licensed) and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I specialize in learning through play and firmly believe that academics and fun go hand in hand. My experience includes teaching children as young as 18 months the letters, shapes, numbers and colors, how to read and write, potty training, effective discipline techniques and managing troubling behaviors. Your child will spend their day exploring, creating, getting messy and more all while getting ready for school at the same time. Still not sure? Please consider the quality care I will provide, with numerous references to support it, along with the peace of mind that comes with having an experienced and educated provider caring for your child in a clean, comfortable home environment (the best part? We make the messes at MY house so yours is still clean when you get home)! If this sounds perfect for you then please send me an e-mail! Rates and hours are negotiable and will be decided upon after initial interview. Thank you for your time I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a graduate student at Russell Sage College studying Nutrition and Dietetics. My school schedule only allows me to babysit on weekends and potentially one day per week (dependent on the semester and day of week). I adore spending time with kids and I have a significant amount of experience in childcare over the last several years. I nannied for a family with a child with down syndrome and have experience as a live-in nanny in Italy. The Italian family had three children, ranging in age from 2 to 8. I have babysat and nannied for several other families as well. I have also spent many years volunteering in a kindergarten classroom and in my free time I worked as a substitute teacher. I love to do crafts, get outdoors and exercise, as well as spending time with animals. I look forward to hearing from you!
