I have been babysitting for family/community people for about 10 years now. I have four younger sibilings that I have babysat for over 10 years. I also nannyed for a women who had two children, 9 months and 2.5 years for about a year, i worked about 20 hrs a week. I have also interned at Williamstown Elementary, ran afterschool activites at Lanesboro Elementary, worked at the BCC daycare for a summer, and my last job was at a home daycare 5 days a week. I currently am a babysitter for 3 families for date nights and so they can run errands. I also do alot of wedding babysitting for people who are from out of town during the summer months. ALso with babysitting, i run erramds, clean, do laundry, and take care of pets too.

My bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Education, and I have worked in a variety of related professional settings from residential outdoor education programs to state parks to sustainable farming camps. I hold my Permaculture Design Certificate and am currently training as a clinical herbalist. I enjoy organic gardening and foraging as well as cooking and food preservation. I love to get kids involved with these skills and to help them live into a rhythm of seasonality. Not only fun, these activities are also a way to introduce important ecological and natural history concepts. I personally support outdoor free play whenever it’s safe and feasible, even (especially!) in the wintertime. I encourage kids in developing autonomy along with body and emotional awareness. I also promote creative expression through the use of natural and recycled materials in artistry and craft. I am primarily a stay-at-home-mother, so depending on scheduling, my three-and-a-half-year-old son may come along with me for babysitting.
