While I don't have professional experience babysitting, I have 2 younger siblings who I've nearly raised as my own kids since they were young. I am CPR and first aid certified. I decided to be a sitter due to my compassion for kids and ability to connect! My abilities also extend beyond sitting to more, such as basic household work (laundry, dishes, etc.), running errands, in addition to having my own car. Hi!! My name is Stephany. I am one of 10 children, I being the oldest and the youngest being 9 years old. There are 7 boys and 3 girls. Most of them are in there teens now, but I have personal experience with a different ages. One of my brothers is handicapped and diagnosised being mentally retarded with a behavior disorder, so I also have some experience with disabled children as well. I also have experience babysitting outside of my family. I used to babysit for my really good friend who has 2 children. Also from March 2017 to September 2017 I worked in a day care. I started out working my first two weeks in the toddler room and then moved over to the infant room 1-2 years of age, and finally settling into the baby room working with children 6 weeks to 1year. From 2018-2021 I worked for a family who had 4 children various ages. I would focus on the youngest during the school year and would have all 4 during the summer anywhere between 2-4 times a week. I currently started working with a family in September of 2021. I work with several kids now 2-3 regularly. Most of my toddlers will be starting preschool this year, so I am looking to move to in-home care at my house and bring in 1-2 more families or 1-2 more newborns-toddlers long term!!

I have had roughly 10 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities, focusing on children from six months of age to three years of age, and those at the elementary level. I also have about three years of experience working with children with disabilites, focusing mainly on autism spectrum disorders. In all of these settings, I have helped prepare meals, cleaned and sanitized surfaces, assisted children in bathroom duties, written lesson plans, and created fun activities to do with the children, meeting thrm at their developmental levels. I have some experience with communication devices and using the PECS system, and have been studying PSE (aka: Pidegon Sign Language, or American Sign Language for the hearing person) since grade seven. I love having fun and making memories with the littles and their families!

I work/have worked with toddlers and kids (5-12) at my local YMCA, running various camps and working at a child watch program.
