I have 2 nieces and a nephew that I adore. Being around children gives you a fresh perspective that is needed within adult minds. I used to work at a daycare for about a year with kids ranging from month old babies to middle school children. I volunteered for the zoo and helped with the zoo camp. I also was able to teach a couple lessons to second graders. I used to tutor high school students and help them out with their homework. I also used to babysit and value outside time to play.

I have been a Writing teacher for about 2 years. Before starting this position, I was a Substitute Teacher for about 2 1/2 years, with grades K-5. Growing up, my Grandma ran a daycare. Once I was a teenager, I frequently helped her run her day care. Taking care of infants all the way up to 5 years old. I have such a love and passion for working with children. However, I need to take a step away from the classroom setting for a while, and work in a different environment.

I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. Ever since I was about 10 years old I’ve babysat for friends and family. When I was in high school I went to vocational school for Early Childhood Education for 2 years and worked in a state licensed preschool, working with infants all the way up to 5 year olds. I planned lessons and taught. Through and after high school I worked at a YMCA in childwatch for a couple hours while parents came to work out or take classes, working with children from infant to 10 year olds. Hello! My name is Morgan Vitanza, and I have a lot of experience caring for children at various stages, from newborns to toddlers to school-aged kids, as I have an 8-year-old daughter myself. I’ve worked as a nanny for two wonderful families. With one family, I cared for a 6-month-old girl and a 2-year-old boy one day a week. My day typically involved arriving around 9am, feeding breakfast, engaging the kids in play, putting the baby down for her nap, and using that time to tidy up. After the baby woke up, I would prepare lunch, take the kids outside for some fresh air, and enjoy walks and outdoor playtime. With another family, I worked every Monday and Friday, caring for three children, ages 2, 5, and 7. I would arrive at 7:15am to feed breakfast, get the oldest on the bus, and take the little girl to preschool. While the 2-year-old napped, I would meal prep, cook, and do light housework. Once the 2-year-old was awake, we’d do arts and crafts, color, paint, and go outside to play, whether it was chalk, swings, or a trip to the park. In the afternoon, I’d pick up the girl from preschool and get the older boy off the bus, where we’d work together on homework in a fun and engaging way, using flashcards and reading to make learning enjoyable. The parents would arrive home at 5:15 I would go over my day with the family and then I would head home. I’m patient and adaptable, always striving to create the best environment for children to thrive.
