Hi! My name is Vanessa and I am very well experienced with children. I have 5 children of my own ages 17 through 29. I previously worked as a Spanish Teacher for the Beaverton School District. Prior to that I worked as a Medical Assistant for the Hillsboro Pediatric Clinic. Currently, I'm babysitting and enjoy it very much! I enjoy time with kids so much, specially with little ones. I speak Spanish, English and basic French. Also, I am an outdoor person and I really love arts, specially singing! I used to be an AuPair in Beaverton for 1 year and 7 months. I watched three kids: a 10 months-old, a 3.5 years-old and a 5.5 years-old. I was in charge of waking them up, preparing meals, make sure they brush their teeth, preparing baby’s bottle, changing diapers, dropping off and picking up the older ones to school, takings them to the park to play, setting playdates with friends, to the library, potty training, teaching the little one to speak (I used to speak to him Spanish and he understood very well!) and to walk. It was an amazing experience! I left and dedicated myself to my career (I got a bachelors degree in Mass communication) around the world: Mexico, Venezuela and Spain. I just came back to the US and my previous host family received me to stay while I set everything up here. The younger kid is now 7 years-old! Before coming to Beaverton I spent a month in Chicago, since my sister lives there and I took care of 2 siblings: a 3 years old girl and a 8 years old boy. I can give you references and my resume. My first ever job was babysitting when I was in the 8th grade and I did that for four years and then since then I have been on and off babysitting for family and family friends, I am now a senior in college majoring in health sciences. I genuinely love babysitting and hanging out with kids. I am very responsible, I can do light housework, cook simple meals/meal prep, help with schoolwork/homework, and run errands. After college I want to work with children is some capacity and cannot express enough how much working with children brings me joy!
