Hi! I’m Sami, an experienced educator and childcare professional who loves creating fun, active, and meaningful experiences for kids. I currently am a classroom teacher in Bend, and have spent many years working with children in classroom, outdoor, camp, preschool, and after-school settings. I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and am currently completing my Master’s in Teaching in Elementary Education. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children from preschool through high school, including as an elementary teacher, environmental educator, outdoor educator, camp/program leader, ski coach, and curriculum specialist. I’m especially comfortable with families who want a sitter who will genuinely engage with their kids. I love getting outside, doing crafts and science activities, playing games, reading, exploring nature, helping with homework, and finding creative ways to keep kids busy without relying on screens.

I have 8 years of childcare experience working with children from newborns through high school age. My background includes private nannying, working as a preschool teacher, and coordinating after-school programs, which has given me experience caring for children both individually and in group settings. I am CPR and EMT certified, have a reliable vehicle, and place a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and creating an environment where children feel comfortable and supported. My childcare philosophy is centered around intentional, structured activities while still allowing plenty of flexibility for each child’s personality, interests, energy level, and needs. I enjoy keeping kids engaged through educational activities, arts and crafts, outdoor play, physical activity, games, reading, and age-appropriate outings rather than relying heavily on screen time. I’m also very communicative with both children and parents. I believe in setting clear and age-appropriate boundaries, preparing children for transitions, maintaining consistent expectations, and explaining things in a way they can understand. At the same time, I believe kids should have opportunities to explore, be creative, have fun, and develop independence. Most importantly, I want parents to feel confident that their children are with someone who is attentive, dependable, safety-conscious, and genuinely engaged with them.

Hey Families! My name is Madi Miller and I am a 21 year old girl looking for a reliable Nanny job or a part time baby sitting job! I have over ten years of experience in the childcare world. Here is a list of jobs and experiences I have had! I was a Nanny for a family and helped them navigate through sleep and potty training and introducing new siblings. I loved being a PE teacher and leading 10 different classes through physical fitness. I was a summer camp counselor where I taught curriculum and also got to play and lead games for my students. Hello my name is Emily, I’ve been passionate about working with kids since I was 15, when I first started helping in preschool classrooms at my school. Since then, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for children of all ages from infants to school aged kids both in home and classroom settings. I’ve also taken multiple Early Childhood Education courses, which have strengthened my understanding of child development, positive behavior guidance, and age-appropriate learning activities. I plan to continue my education and become a teacher in the future. I am also bilingual.
