Hi! I’m Sami, an experienced educator and childcare professional who loves creating fun, active, and meaningful experiences for kids. I currently am a classroom teacher in Bend, and have spent many years working with children in classroom, outdoor, camp, preschool, and after-school settings. I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and am currently completing my Master’s in Teaching in Elementary Education. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children from preschool through high school, including as an elementary teacher, environmental educator, outdoor educator, camp/program leader, ski coach, and curriculum specialist. I’m especially comfortable with families who want a sitter who will genuinely engage with their kids. I love getting outside, doing crafts and science activities, playing games, reading, exploring nature, helping with homework, and finding creative ways to keep kids busy without relying on screens.
