I come from a big family growing up with 7 other siblings in the household. I'm the oldest daughter of 5 other siblings. Being the oldest daughter came with a lot of responsibilities. Growing up throughout the years I spent those periods being the surrogate parent to my younger siblings, always being on call for my mother 24/7/365. Watching over kids started when I would do little babysitting jobs for my mothers friends, while they worked or went out, and that's when I knew I was good with kids, and loved being around them. I am First Aid and CPR certified, I also took 2 Childhood Development classes in 10th and 11th grade. Life with children can be unpredictable and I know I'm able to adapt to the situations they face. I've always known I wanted to work with children. I started working at a children's center in high school and continued throughout college. I have worked as a preschool assistant teacher, a preschool teacher, a substitute teacher, and then a special education teacher all in Pennsylvania in a span of about ten years.
