My name is Matt. I live in Ford City. I just bought a house with my girlfriend. I have prior law enforcement experience and currently work full time armed security in Butler. I’m 31 years old and I am looking for a second job for extra cash. I have a younger brother and sister I helped raised as well.

I have over 25 years of childcare experience. I have been a teacher, daycare worker, and most recently a nanny. I really enjoy working with infants and small children. Helping parents raise their children in a safe and educational environment is my passion. I am a non-smoker who is comfortable with pets. I have my PA clearances, and I’m CPR/first aid trained.

I was a stay at home mom from 1986 to 1993. I also cared for other children in addition to my children. At the most, I had 3 under age 2 as well as my daughter and son. In 2004, I also opted to stay home while my daughter was finishing high school and preparing for college. At the time I provided daycare for 3 children in my home ages 4, 1 1/2 & an infant. Recently (within last 18 months) I have occasionally cared for my companion's grandson who just turned 2 in May.

I have experience working with handicapped disabled people in the past. I worked at a private group home with 4 clients. Some of my tasks included cooking, cleaning, passing medication, and assisting with showers. Also I have personal care home experience as well. I am CPR certified and first aid certified

I have experience with children of different ages and am comfortable with things like diaper changes, potty training, preparing meals and snacks, cleaning up, and keeping kids on their routines. I’m also comfortable communicating with parents and making sure they know how their child is doing.

My goal is to create a setting that feels less like a traditional daycare and more like a fun day spent with a caring mom and new friends. I am happy to incorporate age-appropriate play, crafts, reading, outdoor activities, learning activities, and plenty of opportunities for children to interact and have fun.
