I am seeking either full-time or part-time caregiving or babysitting jobs in the area. I am willing to babysit in the Exton, West Chester, Downingtown, Malvern and the Chester Springs area. My schedule is very flexible since all five of my children have moved out on their own. My background: I homeschooled my children to 8th grade (some other them but not all). I was a Sunday School teacher for many years to teenaged girls and elementary grade levels. I studied Special Education and Computer Science. Ended up programming computers for over 20 years. I always wanted to teach and be a caregiver even though Software Developing served my family well. I now am fulfilling my desires as a Substitute teacher of all ages and I am a part time care giver to a lady with Parkinson's Disease. I also babysit for many families and can provide a lot of references. Really enjoy taking care of people and giving them a good quality of life. I was a personal trainer and love helping others exercise as well. Since I am a Substitute Teacher all my security clearances and background checks are up to date. As a result of being in the corporate world I have an appreciation for working moms/dads that struggle with juggling work and family. I love helping others because I really remember how hard it was to be at work (especially in IT) and to take care of children. I am very athletic. My name is Sandy, and I live in Pottstown. I am married, have 2 grown boys, a 9 yr old granddaughter, and a 3 year old grandson. I am the youngest of 11 children, so I come from a big family. I drive a 2013 Hyundai and do not have any allergies, or fears, of pets. I worked at the Goddard School, in Sanatoga, for 18 months as an Assistant Teacher. My room had 2-3 year olds. I especially enjoyed reading and playing with the children. I believe each child is unique and special in their own way. After leaving the Goddard School, I chose to care for children in their own homes, for many different families. I was told by many parents, when first meeting their child, that they didn't always take to a person, as quickly as they did to me. In 2014, I was on call, from 6 pm to 2 am, 3-4 days a week, for a year. Her mother, was an aide, to a midwife. She was 3 months old when I started. Whether it was in the middle of the night, (many times) or early in the evening, I enjoyed every minute with her. It is very rewarding for me to help a family and enjoy my time with their children in return. I am honest and trustworthy and will keep your children safe and happy, until you return.
