Hi my name is Helen and I am 21 years old and I live in Johnston, Rhode Island. My sister who has always been a huge part of my life gave birth to my nephew almost 8 years ago now (wow! time flies). For the past 4 summers I have watched over my nephew and baby-sat him on multiple occasions. This past fall, my sister and family welcomed the birth of my beautiful niece. I am ecstatic to say that since she was born, I have been avidly helping to take care of her. Two summers ago (Summer of 2016), I was inspired by my nephew to apply for a job at the Lincoln YMCA summer camp where i worked Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. I took care of approximately 25 9-12 year olds with the assistance of one other counselor. Because of this job, I am both CPR and First Aid certified. Read more I am currently a junior at Rhode Island College and I am enrolled in the Nursing Program. Once I graduate, I hope to be working at Hasbro Children's Hospital. I have always had a love for pediatrics, and little kids in general- maybe because I am surrounded with children I love, such as my nephew, niece and cousins. I feel like every child is gifted in their own way and they have just as much to teach me, as I have to teach them. I am looking for a babysitting job for the experience and to build relations, money is not the ultimate objective and therefore I am flexible. I am willing to work with hours/money (I know how hard money can be especially for single parents), but please keep in consideration that my school work is also very important to me.
