I'm a youthful 50-year-old guy who always liked being around kids. I babysat many kids in high school including infants and toddlers and was an elder of a seven-child family who babysat my younger siblings. In recent years I've been a mentor with the Foster Forward program. I chose to work with older teens as that is where the need is. I do not have any official recent experience taking care of young kids, other than my nieces and nephews from time to time on weekends. I believe it may be odd for someone of my age and gender to seek out this type of work, but honestly, my delivery business of 20years has disintegrated tremendously due to COVID 19 and I would love to have an opportunity to do something that is fulfilling for a change. I can provide solid references from friends and family members as well as Read more people who have worked with me, etc...I'm happy to interview remote or in person. I think I'm interactive with kids on a number of fronts. I'm completely up for taking little ones places, playing games with them, doing crafty things, helping them read better and improve their math skills, etc...I have a minivan pretty new and understand about safety on the road as it's been my living for quite some time. My driving record is clean, also. I would not be a "watch tv" kind of sitter. Of course, I would default to the needs of the parents and their wishes. I have had background checks done recently by DCYF in order for me to have participated in the Foste Forward program. I have a lot to offer actually. Please consider finding out more, if you will.
