Besides having raised a pretty terrific teenage daughter, I have looked after my neighbor's 3 children (elementary and middle school ages) after school once a week for part of the last year, fixing after school snacks, helping with homework and encouraging outdoor play. My daughter is now their babysitter and I miss spending time with them. My neighbor would happily act as a reference. I understand that every parent has their own approach to parenting and would try to work within the guidelines of your household.That said, I am not a big fan of computer games and believe that children learn and grow by spending time in active play and activities of daily living.
