Why do you love being a sitter? I truly enjoy being with children. Even though days can be busy, they’re full of joy and energy. Talking, playing, and being present with kids gives me a sense of purpose. As a mom to a grown son, I deeply value and miss those precious early years. What experience do you have? I worked at Siskin Early Childhood Center, where I cared for young children, including children with special needs. This experience strengthened my patience, understanding, and ability to support different needs. What skills and training do you have? I’m patient, attentive, and safety-focused. I am a fun, kind person with a love for helping children and parents alike. I absolutely love children. I think they are precious and God’s perfect gift. I love playing with small children and seeing them laugh. I used to watch my baby cousin who is now almost six years old. He has Down syndrome. When he came home from the hospital he instantly became my baby. I learned how to feed him through his g-tube, change his diapers, give him medication, give him baths, make his bottles when he was an infant, put him to sleep, etc. I am good at learning things fast. With my baby cousin I had to learn how to be gentle, especially when holding him around his stomach, and I had to learn how to take care of a special needs child. I have also watched other children on some instances.

I love Deanna sitter because when I was a child, I always had a sitter or a nanny and it was one of the best times in my life. Hi there! My name is Callie Curtis, and I am a Lee University senior who is majoring in elementary education. I am currently student teaching which has been absolutely wonderful, as I love children and have a passion for student growth. I have experience babysitting multiple age groups, such as 2 year olds, elementary aged children, and even middle schoolers.
