Child care & how young minds form are one of my passions, where I lead with grace, compassion, and patience. I like to say I am not a person to demand them around but guide them along a path of exploration & adventure called life. I continuously teach the kiddos in my life how to regulate their emotions, use their words for expression, & validate their feelings. I am a very creative person & love to share that with the kiddos rather it’s physically making art, going on a scavenger hunt, telling them stories, or whatever is of their likings within creativity. I have much experience ages 2 mo-7 years & recently been gaining more experience with 8-15 year olds. My experience is all around coming from doing behavioral therapy with children along the spectrum, behavioral help within classroom settings, visits to parks & pools, in-home routine care (hygiene, meal prep, chores etc.), & giving swim/basketball lessons. I believe it is thoroughly important to hold space for the developing mind of children by boosting their interests & creating a safe space for them to make mistakes & learn from them. I am very experienced with children who are non-verbal & do not know asl yet. I am someone who likes go keep kiddos off of screens as much as possible yet am all down for a movie night & singing/reading books before nap/bedtime. I have a special understanding on techniques to connect with kids who are shy or nervous to have a new caregiver. I carry a warming & loving presence which helps kiddos feel safe in my presence. I have been told I am a big kid at heart so its easy for me to "GET DOWN IN IT" with them. In my spare time I enjoy crafting, reading, watching movies, being out in nature, and spending time with my family. I have been married to my hubby/best friend for 26 years. I always wanted a tribe of kids, but it just wasn't in our cards. My good Lord has blessed us with lots of nieces/nephews and 5 wonderful godchildren we have had the privilege of helping to raise. I have a reliable vehicle (SUV to keep your precious cargo as safe as possible) with excellent insurance coverage. As you can see, I have done the extensive background checks to help assure you I am a safe place for your family. I’m recently back to Utah from living in Texas. While I was there in Texas I worked for 4 different families, all with variously different needs for care and routines. I’ve been babysitting for as long as I can remember. Around the age of 12 years old I remember watching some neighbors kids who I would make sure were fed and cleaned up and in bed. Then afterwards cleaning up the house once they were asleep. I enjoy seeing children’s face light up when learning something new and the pure imagination they have learning to understand this world. I’d love to have a family I can grow with and get to know well. I’m caring, great active listener, have worked with kids with special needs, I enjoy planning and sharing age appropriate activities, and overall really would just love to have some awesome kids to work with.

My name is Florencia, I am a 23 year old student from Ogden. I have a passion for childcare that started early in my life, due to being the oldest of 6 siblings! I have been working professionally in childcare and education since 2018. A brief history about my work: Besides growing up watching church friends children, as well as my own siblings- my first professional childcare job was at a daycare. There I worked my way up to lead daycare teacher, where I was in charge of both the infant classroom as well as the 3 year old classroom. After that, I was able to work in a wonderful special needs preschool. I learned so much about children's minds and how they learn. Seeing a spark of interest in their eyes, and helping a child understand something teaching is the most rewarding experience. I know it's my calling. Since October 2018, I have also been working with an ABA agency. We specialize in working with children on the spectrum. I visit my client's homes, and we work on various skills and lessons. I have enjoyed this job, I will be continuing to work as an RBT. So I need a family that can work around the 4ish hours a day I'm with my clients. I'm looking for a consistent family, that will offer me more hours and reliability. Being outdoors, playing with your children and planning fun activities during the day is an ideal job for me! I have plenty of energy and tons of safe activities up my sleeve that will keep your child happy and entertained.
