I left public education because there was an intense focus on standardized testing that minimalized individualism. This test focused environment was not a good fit for me. I feel that children should learn in an environment that fosters creativity and personal growth. After I quit teaching in public schools, I worked in daycare for 10 years. I left daycare for a few years and tried other work, but it wasn't a good fit. I want to return to my first love - working with children.
