Hello dear families! I'm looking for opportunities to help your family on an occasional basis. I'm available for date nights and weekends. I work FT during the week and have my own transportation. I've been an Au-pair for three wonderful families with kids in between 2 and 11 years old, pets always being a big and important part of the families as well. After my last au pair experience I worked as a FT Nanny for an amazing family and their 14 months old little lady, following a season working in a high school as a Distance Learning Assistant in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools district in NC. I have a diverse background and have used au-pairing and 'nannying' as a great tool to explore different places, and immerse myself deeper in the US culture. I'm a native Spanish speaker, originally from Venezuela and a Materials Engineer by profession. My whole path ended up taking me into working in different areas like tourism, winemaking, childcare, among others. I'm currently based in NOVA and do volunteer at a doggies and kitties shelter in the area. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have, listen to your needs, so we can work together towards fulfilling then and hopefully become part of your amazing journey! Thank you, Rebeca

My varied background with children of all ages, and my education provide a wealth of experience and knowledge that will enrich any home. In the past, I have been a nursery school teacher, provided childcare in my own home, was co-director of an elementary age after school program and summer day camp, and I was Christian Education Director at two churches, teaching children of all ages and multi-age groups. I homeschooled my two boys for 10 years. Currently, I am a professional pastel artist, and have taught pastel art classes to elementary age children. My educational background is an MA In Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, with a special emphasis on counseling with children. I am in good heath and am energetic. I enjoy creating an atmosphere of fun, easily engaging with children on their level. I love sharing my excitement for life with children, and also creating a peaceful, nurturing environment where they can feel secure. I can assist with all daily activities, supporting the care of your children in your home, and can also help with tutoring and teaching. It would be a great privilege and blessing to walk alongside you, assisting you in caring for your children.

Hello, everyone! My name is Lisa, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself as a sitter. I am not just your average sitter - I am a division 1 softball player and a student majoring in Applied Mathematics. One of the things that sets me apart is my love for being active. I believe in the power of physical activity and outdoor play for children's development, so you can count on me to engage your little ones in fun and stimulating activities. Whether it's playing catch, going for a bike ride, or simply running around in the park, I'll make sure your kids have a great time while staying active. Another passion of mine is sewing and embroidery. I find joy in creating unique and personalized items, so if your children are interested in learning some basic sewing skills or need help with a craft project, I'm here to lend a hand. Of course, I can't forget to mention my love for dogs. They bring so much joy and companionship, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. If you have a furry friend at home, rest assured that they will receive plenty of attention and love from me. What I love most about being a sitter is the opportunity to create meaningful bonds with children. I believe in fostering a safe and nurturing environment where kids can thrive and express themselves freely. Building trust and establishing a connection with each child is of utmost importance to me. Lastly, I want to assure you that I take safety seriously. I am CPR + First Aid certified, and I have received the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots. Your children's well-being is my top priority, and I will do everything I can to ensure their safety and happiness while in my care. I am excited to meet your family and create wonderful memories together. Thank you for considering me as your sitter!

After colllege, I nannied for 2 different families. For the first family, I’d provide after school care 3x/week from 4p - 9p. I’d pick up the 2 boys after school (5 year old & 10 year old), take them home then help with homework / reading, cook dinner, bathe the 5 year old, and put both to bed. For the second family, I’d watch their 4 kids (ages 6 mo. old, 3 yr. old, 5 yr. old, & 7 yr. old) 1 - 2x/week during the school year from 9a - 5p & occasional weekends too. On a weekday, I’d provide relief to the mother for the day while she was out of the home. Daily activities included taking the 3 yr. old to preschool, managing nap schedules / night time routines, taking kids to/from bus stop, going to the playground, etc. I am comfortable with pets, but allergic to cats. However, I have babysat for families in the past than have had a cat with the understanding that I’d keep my distance from the pet / cat dander. I’m flexible and happy to answer any questions at any time!

I am in college right now, at Christopher Newport and apart of the women’s lacrosse team! I am looking to earn some money while at school! I love working with children because each one is so special, and I love to see them grow into their own! I love creating bonds with the children and family. I have experience babysitting all ages and personalities! I am easy going and will adjust to all parenting styles. I am also active and like to get the children out of the house (if allowed). I worked at a summer camp this past summer, working with 8-10 kids at a time. I supervised and cared for children throughout the day in a safe and engaging environment. Led recreational activities that promoted physical activity, teamwork, and skill development!
