Hello, My name is Davia Ford and I am 25 years old. Currently I am a professional ballet dancer with Roanoke Ballet Theatre. I have been nannying/babysitting as a paid position for about 7 years and I am experienced in caring for a variety of children from infants to twelve years. I love caring for children and I am gentle and patient but can be stern when needed. Many of my tasks from past jobs include but are not limited to school pickups, transporting to activities, helping with school/home work, cooking meals, snack prep, light cleaning, bathing, playing with the kids, light discipline, conflict resolution, etc. I am very comfortable caring for multiple children at a time. My most recent job is for a family with 2 kids aged 6 and 8 with one of them being a child with special needs. I hope that you will consider me as your child's caretaker.

Hello parents! I enjoy working with kids of all ages, and love watching them learn. I've been sitting for many families (50+) in the area for the last few years, and I also have a Masters of Education (Elem. Ed.) from George Mason. Over the past 14 years I’ve worked with children in a variety of roles, including: -- Occasional babysitting (2010-2024) - Ages 2-10 -- FCPS - Internship (3rd/5th grade) and sub teaching (2010-2013) -- Private tutoring Since I am a male sitter, I’d be a great fit for those with boys that like to build legos, conduct science experiments, and play outdoor games and sports! I also enjoy and have lots of experience babysitting younger children and toddlers, as young as 30 months. Note: I prefer to babysit for children between the ages of 2.5-10. Since I currently work full time, my schedule is limited to just occasional afternoons, evenings and weekends. I consider myself professional, caring, reliable, and fun! I have a variety of good references and all the sitter basics: [background check, transportation, non-smoking, references, etc.] Thank you for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Andrew watched our 4-year-old and 18-month-old boys, and he was absolutely fantastic. He arrived prepared with crafts, toys, board games, and plenty of creative activities to keep them engaged and entertained. He has a calm, positive demeanor, and both of our boys connected with him right away. Andrew is incredibly patient, attentive, and reliable, and he followed all of our instructions carefully, especially when it came to their bedtime routine. We felt completely at ease knowing our children were in his care. We highly recommend Andrew and would gladly hire him again.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Carisa as our nanny. She started with our family when our baby girl was just four months old, and from the very beginning she made such a positive difference in our lives. Carisa is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but also a genuinely caring and wonderful person. She supported our daughter through so many important developmental milestones like helping with the transition to purees, encouraging tummy time, practicing sitting, and planning age-appropriate activities that supported her development. It was clear that she truly understood infant development and always approached everything with patience and care. Our baby absolutely loves Carisa, and it’s easy to see why. She brings warmth, attentiveness, and a calm presence every day. As a new mom, it meant everything to be able to return to work knowing my baby girl was in such loving and capable hands. Carisa was always punctual, extremely reliable, and consistently flexible. Always willing to stay late or come in early whenever we needed help. That level of dependability made a huge difference for our family. I wholeheartedly recommend Carisa to any family, especially new parents who are looking for someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She truly is the best person you could have caring for your baby.

Potential Families: Thank you so much for stopping by my profile. My name is Elizabeth. I just completed my ninth year as a paraprofessional in an elementary school and am currently a substitute teacher with the nearby county. I have experience supporting students/children with a variety of special needs (Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Learning/Multiple Disabilities and Behavioral). I am also a former preschool teacher; I have worked with children infant-12 years of age for many years and have been a tutor for at risk adolescents at Job Corps. I currently have my Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies with a career studies cert in Early Childhood Development. I am upon completion of my Bachelor’s degree and have a goal of pursuing my Master’s degree soon after. I enjoy making connections with children and families. I believe communication, trust and honesty are very important. When I am taking care of children I enjoy interacting with them by coloring, reading, arts and crafts, playing sports or board games but in all honesty, I am not a skillful Uno player! :) In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, spending time with my 3 nieces and nephew, working in the yard and reading. If you would like more information, or have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I am available: M, T and Th: 7:30-12:30, and then again from 2:30-6:30. W and F-7:30-4:30 I would also be available for occasional date nights (weekday evenings and or weekends).

Elizabeth does a wonderful job with our daughters. One of them is special needs and Elizabeth was willing to learn how to feed her through a feeding tube. I'm usually a little nervous leaving her with a sitter, but not when Elizabeth was in charge. I felt she was trust worthy and caring and taking amazing care of my kids.

We had Ayling come watch our two boys (1 and 7). She brought over an activity bag and was fun and engaging. Her communication with us was excellent the whole time and we had a wonderful evening out without having to worry. Would highly recommend!

I am a mother of two teenage boys, so have been parenting for about 15 years. Prior to becoming a mother, I was a nanny for many years while in college and graduate school and a babysitter while in middle and high school. I have CPR and 1St Aid Certifications and am highly experienced with dealing with any issues that may arise while caring for infants, young children, tweens and teens. I love supporting kids to play and learn from experiences (games, crafts, sports) but am also ready to support homework and school assignments. I am comfortable with all kinds of pets and happy to feed them or take them for walks. I take family rules seriously and will work with the children to make sure that tasks and chores are completed when required.

My kids loved Jennifer and ask for her to come back often! She not only was wonderful with the children, playing games througout the day, taking them on field trips and reading them stories. She also organized the kids bedroom without being asked! If I could give 10 stars I would!

I was a babysitter for my extended family and neighbors during my teenage years and as a college graduate. I continued babysitting through graduate school (for education and counseling)and into my early adult years. Even now, as an adult, I still enjoy babysitting because I love children. I have been a teacher in early childhood and elementary schools, as well as a summer camp counselor and director, for many years. As a result of my job in education, I have undergone and cleared several criminal background checks. I am certified in First Aid and CPR, and I have my own car. I enjoy doing schoolwork, participating in sports, playing games, and engaging in arts and crafts with children. I enjoy being positive, creative, and engaging with kids because they have wonderful imaginations, and I love having fun with them. I try to teach children a great deal, but I also always learn a great deal from them! It's always a win-win situation.

I am a senior at American University majoring in Data Science with a minor in Computer Science. I am currently based in Bethesda, finishing my last semester at AU this fall, and I am looking for part-time babysitting or nannying work. I have 10 years of babysitting experience. I have babysat for over 20 families in Nashville, New York City, and Washington, DC. I have babysat for single families with 2-3 children aged between 3 months to 9 years old, and I have done formal, weekly childcare for churches where I supervised groups of kids aged 1-year-old to 12 years. Typically, my tasks included picking up and dropping off from school and after-school activities, aiding the elementary school-aged children with homework, entertaining the kids, changing diapers, cooking nourishing meals, and encouraging good behaviors using positive reinforcement. In single-family settings, I can also provide light housekeeping work such as cleaning and doing laundry. Outside of school and babysitting, I love reading, spending time with my puppy Mila, and writing songs. I have self-released two albums and have toured nationally with several bands. I am able to provide guitar and bass lessons for beginner to intermediate players. I am excited about the opportunity to work with you, and I am happy to provide references from my previous clients.

Hello! I am a student at Northern Virginia Community College pursuing a nursing track. My hopes are to later become a nurse midwife. Before Covid-19, I was a preschool teacher but I am currently looking to provide more individualized work. My experience ranges from daycare, gym child watch, individual babysitting, and summer camps. With that being said, I'm able to provide many references! I am infant/child first-aid and CPR certified. In addition, I am a birth and postpartum Doula who can help with overnights . I'd love to be able to work with families looking for a last-minute baby sitter or a date-night sitter. I'm also available to do school pick-ups and drop-offs! ! I love planning activities with the kids such as cookie decorating, movie nights, sensory play etc. I'm flexible with rates and take into consideration the needs of each family. My goal is to insure that children actually have fun while the parents are away. I look forward to working with children of all ages and backgrounds!
