Hi! My name is Karissa Tallman, I'm 18 years old, and I am a college student at Champlain College. I am studying Digital Forensics which requires getting a Bachelor's degree. I didn't grow up with siblings, but most of my cousins are younger than me and I would watch them sometimes and do outdoor activities such as building snowmen, playing games, sledding, and etc. As far as experience, I babysat four children once for a client named Bailey (I included him as a reference) and read them a book, provided them with water, watched and checked on them and put them to bed. I also babysat two children for a friend of their's named Melissa and watched television with them, played monopoly, talked about school and their interests, made them brush their teeth, put them to bed, and checked on them regularly. I also have some experience as an after-school Read more teacher at Champlain Elementary School where I was watching kids from kindergarten to 6th grade. For that position, I would monitor them playing on the playground and then we would do fun activities that usually involved being active. In order to obtain that position, I had to pass a background check, and have my CPR/First Aid Certification. I also had my emergency medical responder license for the state of Vermont. I also had my licensed nursing assistant license that recently ran out due to my inactivity. But I believe that I am highly qualified to babysit as I have a lot of knowledge in the human body and helping kids and others. I also took Medical Terminology and Human and Mammal Biology through the Community College of Vermont and passed with an "A' average. In that course, I learned a lot about helping them in case of an emergency and providing excellent service when they were in need. I also did 80 hours of clinical rotation at Copley Hospital and the Manor in Morrisville, in order to pass the Allied Health class and to get my LNA license. During my clinical rotation, it was my responsibility to take care of senior citizens that included providing great care such as bathing, feeding, and other activities for daily living. I made sure to report any unusual vitals to the supervisior in charge.
