I have twins that were 9 1/2 weeks premature and a 3 year old at the time soI I definitely know how to juggle children and family responsibilities I enjoy watching kids' sports. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! In the past, I worked 7 years at the Kent School District, both in the office and as an Instructional Assistant. I worked some with autistic children and children with learning disabilities. I like children a lot and have a space available for one to two children in my home by appointment and will be happy to entertain last minute sitting needs. I am also available for overnights or extended visits if needed. I have sleeping or napping space in a guest room tailored for kids. Within this space are twin bunk beds, a crib and we have a movable pack and play. I have many many toys,  blankets, etc (backup items if you forget something) for many ages and genders. Everything is clean and we are a non-smokers. I model healthy behavior for children and provide lot's of TLC for each child that comes into my home with individual needs in mind. I participated in CPR for adults and children/infants in the past as well as proper first aid training. I currently work as a co-lead teacher for 2.5-3 year olds and am CPR certified. Last year I was teaching English in Spain with students aged 1-14 years. Hello~ I have natural love for babies and kids, and always am happy around them. I am a clinical dietitian, but would like to spend some of my free time doing what I really love to do, caring for babies and kids. While I am new to professional child care, I have experiences with my cousins, nephews, and volunteering and I always have great interest in early childhood education (so I enjoy reading and watching resources about that, and always happy to learn more). I have basic knowledge and skills on pediatric care from work (half portion of my job is working with kids who need special nutrition care) and past experiences, but my skills would shine if you could share some extra practical tips for your babies and kids! I am a fast learner! In my other free times, I enjoy hiking and exercising. I usually have free time after work (after 4 pm from Mon to Wed) and every other weekends + every Thursdays (my usual day off from work), so I decided to develop my another profession which I always hope to do. I am not using my energy for babysitting, but I am earning energy from babies and kids, so I enjoy spending time with them on my off days from my primary work - like a hobby!
