Hello All, A little bit about me. I am a 39 year old female, full time, Special education Teacher. I have 20 years of experience working with kids and animals. I am more than happy and able to look after any furbabies you may have as well. I have a perfectly clean back ground and driving record. I have worked with many families and can provide more references on my behalf than necessary. I am still friends with all of the families I have worked for before I started teaching and I am currently in my 6th year of teaching. I have accomplished a lot in my life but the one thing that makes me happiest is what I do for a living. I am very chill, responsible and honest. I care very deeply for the kids / pets I watch and always aim to have long term connections with any family I work with. I am excellent with time management and homework help. I strongly encourage having an open communication level and understanding with parents because I feel that it is most beneficial for the children or pets concerned. If you are wondering why I am trying to be a nanny as well as a teacher, its because I am moving to New Zealand next year which is very exspensive. I do have a spinal disability that prevents me from doing a lot of heavy excercise but I do not require a wheelchair or assistance. I am artistic, a great cook and love music. I spray paint galaxies, and draw mostly. I don't mind disney movies or fun games. I have a 12 year old Miniature Australian Shepard named Remedy who has been trained, is non-aggressive and is quite the gaurdian to children. She does not have to come along, just letting you know. With close to a decade of childcare experience, I am a passionate educator who loves connecting with students in and out of the classroom. I will be working for Seattle Parks and Rec this summer and am looking for afternoon/weekend opportunities. Hi, my name is Bahia, I am 34 years old and I have my master's degree in marriage, family, and child counseling. For the past 7 years I have been a nanny, splitting my time between multiple families, almost all of whom have had at least two children ranging from 3 months old to 7 years old. Before nannying I worked at an autism center for 5 years, first as a behavior therapist, and eventually as a clinical supervisor. At this job I worked one on one with children ranging from 18 months of age to 15 years old. At this job I was trained in methods of language development and behavior management. While working at the autism center and completing my master’s degree I also interned as a marriage and family therapist trainee for two years, and approximately half of my caseload consisted of children.
