I am located in the Bella Bottega area of Redmond and am looking for a full-time (40 hrs/week) long-term nanny/babysitter position with one family preferably in that same area or in Woodinville, Bellevue, Sammamish, Kirkland, Kenmore, or Kingsgate. I am willing to commute as far as Seattle/Bothel as well. My rates are $28/hr for one child, $30/hr for two children, or $34+/hr for 3+ children. I have just under two years of experience as a before/after school care teacher (ages 5-11yrs) and support teacher (ages 18mos-5yrs) at a private school in Kirkland (I am currently employed here but am looking to go back to nannying), and 5 years of nannying experience with ages ranging from newborn infants to 4-year-olds, including neurodivergent children (I myself am also neurodivergent). I am food safety and CPR certified, have 50 hours of completed hours in STARS training, have a credit in children's literature, am proficient in emotion coaching and am currently in the process of obtaining my diver's license, but am also incredibly familiar with the public transit system. I have no allergies and have love for animals of all kinds. I am 23 years old with a strong passion for child advocacy. Children are often overlooked as people and my main philosophy in childcare is to let the child lead rather than to lead the child in my own desired path. I believe in empowering children to believe in themselves and their dreams. I am also a huge advocate for LGBTQ+/Women's/BLM/general Human rights. My goal is to one day open a hair salon for children with sensory sensitivities or other related issues. I love cutting and coloring hair and doing makeup and building looks, and I have a deep love for playing/writing music (I play guitar and sing) and making art. I would love to apply my skills from these hobbies to my work with children. Children flourish when they can be their authentic selves and my intention in the way I present myself and the way I provide care is to encourage them to be their most authentic selves.
