I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Communities, and Organizations with Disability Studies and American Indian Studies minors. I have been caring for children for 6 years as a babysitter and as the oldest sibling, as well as supervising children in summer camp and school settings. My babysitting experience ranges in ages from infant to twelve. I recently cared for a one year old for six months, starting when she was only six months herself - this included diaper changes, feedings, putting her down for naps, and taking her on adventures to Kids Club, swimming, and free events at the local library. I truly love working with kids, and I approach each child as an individual who I get to help grow and teach. With each family I understand cleaning is not expected but light housework such as dishes, vacuuming, and tidying up the toy room is no problem for me! I have found success in building relationships with these children through discussing triggers, what the child enjoys, and boundaries with parents before we start working together.
