My name is Soundarya (pronounced Soun-dree-ah, but you can call me Sound) and I am 19 years old. I was born in Chennai, India and adopted at the age of five by my loving American parents. I have grown up in Wisconsin, graduated in 2016, and am currently in the middle of a gap year before heading off to college. During my gap year, I have worked numerous jobs and been an active volunteer. I plan on going to UW-Green Bay and am looking for a family in Green Bay or a family I could help over the summer months. I have completed a babysitting class and VIRTUS training, a child care training program offered by our church diocese. I am also planning on taking a First Aid and CPR training class. I have not done much babysitting of my own, but have many cousins between the ages of 2-13 Read more that I have taken care of at our family gatherings. Even though I lack lots of experience, I am friendly, outgoing and love to smile and laugh. I get along with kids well and am not a yeller. I prefer to be kind and gentle and have had 3+ years of experience in tutoring. I would be more than willing to help your kids with their homework. I have experience with cleaning and doing household chores such as: vacuuming, washing dishes, emptying the dishwasher, picking up and organizing, making beds and doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom, yard work, and taking out the trash. I do these chores at my own house and would be more than willing to do them at yours. I am nowhere near to being the next sou chef but can cook basic breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. Even though I may not be an expert in lots of areas (or even close to that), I am always willing to learn new things and am a quick learner. I work hard, focus on the task, and bring a cheery attitude. I'm a go-getter and am determined to work hard and persevere to get the job done. I enjoy doing various activities, but especially love being outdoors. Whether it's going for a walk or a run, hiking, biking, swimming, (etc), I love being outdoors. However, I also know how to keep entertained indoors or during downtime. I am an avid reader, I like to read anything to everything. I am a big fan of the arts, having been a choir member all throughout school and a piano player since the age of 7. I'm not a very good artist but do enjoy doing arts and crafts projects. I am also a huge sports fan, particularly of the Green Bay Packers.
