I have years of experience working with children outside of friends and family. Summer of 2023 I worked as a disabled child care taker. Some of my responsibilities were changing, assisting with the bathroom, and helping with motor skills. Summer 2024, I was a part-time nanny for a 6 year old boy. On a typical day, I transported him from summer academy back home and then we did lots of fun crafts and activities throughout the day. During my sophomore year at GCU (2024-2025), I worked with an infant part time. My roles and responsibilities consisted of diaper changes, bottle feedings, transitioning to solids, naps, supporting development milestones, attending doctors meetings, and age appropriate activities/outings until the child was of age to attend a daycare. This year (2026) I watched a toddler under the age of 2 part-time. Unfortunately this family is moving away and I am looking for another position.
