I've been a stay-at-home mom for about 30 years. In that time, I've raised my four children and two step-children, as well as two of my grandchildren. When my kids were younger, I provided childcare in my own home. I cared for most of these children for several years, including triplets for over two years from ages 4-6, two infants from a few weeks old to preschool age, and other infants and toddlers for shorter time periods. I also worked for a few years with elementary age students as a part-time cafeteria hostess in my child's school. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to provide some transportation. My name is Melissa and my personal background comes from growing up to be the oldest out of 6 siblings. Not only was my house consisted of sibling rivalry but also secretly all of us not wanting to be apart. The women of my family started as working with children in owning a home day care, teaching early education in church. The only thing that seemed fitting and natural to me was to study, and work with children. I am a certified early education and development teacher which allows me to teach in a preschool setting. Working with children for 13 years as my career path I will be able to bring my experiences and strengths to any new children-families needing care. I have stayed home to raise my seven children and have loved it . I regularly nanny for my nieces 3 years old daughter and 1 yr old son including weekends and overnights . I also watch my 18 month old grandson regularly . I prefer ages 6 and under although I’m very experienced with all ages .
