My 82yo mother is currently living at Aegis of Aptos. She has moderate ALZ dementia and does not understand her situation. When there are no scheduled activities in the Life's Neighborhood wing, she easily gets bored as she has never been a TV watcher. Seeking an experienced female companion to drop in once or twice a week (afternoons are best) to engage her with some activity she can still do: hand sewing, show her videos of old show tunes, ask her to talk about her family, do a puzzle together, make her feel useful. MUST have prior experience and some knowledge about typical dementia effects.
