Pete is 74 years old, he is a retired farmer and was leading a very active and busy life prior to having brain surgery done to remove a tumor. Unfortunately, the recovery of the surgery has not gone to plan and he has cognitive deficits and can no longer be left alone. He has mobility issues now as well and is need of using walker. Mainly the sitter will be used for company and to make sure he doesn't wander off when the wife needs to run errands in town. His cognition is impaired with recalling appropriate words and will often misuse verbiage. Patient does have a catheter in place and caregiver may need to empty bag once during the sit. The care companion would need to be able to go with the flow of conversation even it doesn't make sense.
