I. Position Overview
Role: Domestic Assistant
Status: (Hourly)
Location: Sacramento, CA (Private Residence)
Schedule: To Be Determined
Compensation: $20.00+/hour (Paid Semi-Monthly) (By: Poppins Payroll)
II. Primary Directive: Household & Nutrition
General Maintenance: housekeeping, including vacuuming, dusting, and laundry, ensuring the home remains organized and sanitary.
Culinary Support: Plan and prepare meals; manage kitchen cleanup and food storage safety.
Inventory Assistant: Monitor household supplies and groceries; execute shopping runs or manage digital delivery orders via ChromeOS/Android apps.
III. Physical & Legal Requirements
Mobility: Ability to perform standard housekeeping physical tasks (lifting up to 30 lbs).
Compliance: Adherence to all CA-mandated rest and meal break periods (10-minute paid rest break for every 4 hours worked; 30-minute unpaid meal break if working over 5 hours).
Documentation: Maintain a precise daily log of hours worked for submission to the payroll portal.
Personal electronic devices: are restricted from use during work time. Incidental use is allowed during work and only to be used for position related tasks during assigned work periods..

Non-Exempt Status: Under CA law, household employees are almost always entitled to overtime (1.5x) after 9 hours in a day or 45 hours in a week (for personal attendants).
